Road to Glory: R. Randolph
Me on an INT runback in last season's State Playoffs
Some of you may have read my older brother's updates and stuff for his first half of his freshman season at Alabama when he broke the NCAA record for sacks in a season before annihilating his knee in practice before the 7th game of the season. After that injury, I changed my number from 22 to 18 in honor of him. The team kinda went down the crapper without him, as our entire D had benefited from his pressure on the QB and his solid coverage. My interception number went down from 9 to 6 this year mainly because I didn't have QB's fluttering the ball up in the air after he laid them out. I was a team captain this year, but haven't gained nearly as much attention as my brother, in fact, he stopped by Coach Saban's office at 'Bama to put a good word in for me a week after the National Title Game, and Saban told him I wasn't any good without him. While my brother got basically his pick for his college (104 out of 120 colleges offered him, including all of the top 54 team in the nation) I'll have much more slim pickings, with only a few big-time universities offering me. I don't mind though, I like being under the radar. Oh, and Erin Andrews and her crew decided that I was the closest thing to my brother out there, so Road to Glory will be following me around, too.
