NCAA Football Playoffs (NCAA 12)
BCS Changes System, Turns to a Playoff The nation got what it wanted today, as College Football will now have December Madness each year. Bowl Championship Series Coordinator John Swofford announced earlier today that there would indeed be a playoff system. The reason for the decision Swofford claims is that, "The current BCS system was no longer as profitable for schools as a current playoff program would be. Plus it's what the fans wanted." Even though a playoff system has been created, the bowl system is not dead. Several bowls will cease to exist, but many will still be played, giving teams that do not make the playoffs one more chance in the spotlight. Also, historic bowls such as the Rose, Orange, Sugar, Fiesta, and the BCS National Championship game will be played as apart of the playoff game. The format for this playoff will be a single elimination, 16 team tournament. The 11 conference champions, and the next 5 BCS ranked teams will be in the field, ranked according to the BCS computers. Swofford announced the playoff today, bringing joy to college football fans After this sudden announcement, rumors have swirled that the BCS secretly demanded that all BCS have atleast 12 teams. Reports are that Notre Dame, TCU, Temple, and Villanova have accepted invitations to join the Big East, while Houston and BYU are expected join the Big 12. Also, Swofford announced that there will be a conference championship for every single conference, even if there are less than 12 teams in that conference. This means even the C-USA, Sun Belt, Mountain West, and WAC will have a championship game.

National Championship or Bust. #7 Oklahoma State Cowboys The Brandon Weeden to Justin Blackmon connection will be almost impossible to stop. #23 Missouri Tigers QB Taylor Gabbert's transfer to Mizzou will help the Tigers compete against the Oklahoma schools. #51 Kansas State Wildcats An improving defense should help support an offensive with a lot of inexperience at key positions. #76 Kansas Jayhawks A horrid offense must be better if Kansas doesn't want to get beaten up in the North. #77 Iowa State Cyclones The spread offense should do well, but the Iowa State defense is holding this team back. Legends #6 Ohio State Buckeyes Despite suspensions and turmoil, Ohio State has the talent to still capture a Big Ten title. #11 Wisconsin Badgers QB Russell Wilson, HBs James White and Montee Ball give Wisconsin the best ground attack in the country. #28 Penn State Nittany Lions The QB situation looks troubling, as star wideout Derek Moye has no one to throw him the ball. If that issue is settled, Penn State becomes a contender. #61 Illinois Fighting Illini The Illini are flying under the radar, and should provide some upsets with their explosive offense lead by sophomore QB Nathan Scheelhase. #78 Purdue Boilermakers The shaky situation at QB will provide Purdue with trouble on offense, but the defense looks poised for a good season. #83 Indiana Hoosiers The Hoosiers only won 1 game in the Big Ten last year, and a similar performance is expected in 2011. Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year: QB G.J. Kinnie, Tulsa Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year: DE Vinny Curry, Marshall Conference USA Championship Game: UCF over Tulsa #58 Navy Midshipmen Backs Alexander Teeich and Gee Gee Greene and Navy's triple option attack holds an edge over Army. #75 Army Black Knights Seniors QB Trent Steelman and LB Steven Erzinger are the Knight's playmakers, and they'll be needed for Army to reach the postseason. MWC Offensive Player of the Year: QB Kellen Moore, Boise State MWC Defensive Player of the Year: LB Mychal Sisson, Colorado State MWC Championship Game: Boise State over Air Force North #3 Stanford Cardinal QB Andrew Luck is the leader in the Heisman race and for the #1 pick in the 2012 NFL draft. He should have enough talent around him to get past Oregon this year. #5 Oregon Ducks QB Darron Thomas, and HBs LaMichael James and Kenjon Barner will tear teams up this year on the ground, creating another unstoppable Oregon offense. #45 Oregon State Beavers The QB Ryan Katz to WR James Rodgers connection will be tough to stop for opposing defenses. #49 Washington Huskies HB Chris Polk returns after a fantastic sophomore season, and will need to help an offense who lost its best player, QB Jake Locker. #55 Cal Golden Bears LBs Mychal Kendricks and D.J. Holt will need to anchor a defense which must make up for a lackluster offense. #93 Washington State Cougars QB Jeff Tuel is a top QB in the conference, but doesn't have much to work with. South #25 Arizona State Sun Devils MLB Vontaze Burfict and DE Junior Onyeali star for a stacked defense, but problems at QB could be this team's kyrptonite. #29 USC Trojans QB Matt Barkley, and WR Robert Woods make a terrific offense, but the defense should really struggle expect for star S T.J. Still, FAU has the worst offense in the Sun Belt. #113 North Texas Mean Green The Mean Green will go as far as HB Lance Dunbar can take them, who was in the top ten in the country in rushing yards. #118 Western Kentucky Hilltoppers The Hilltoppers only one two games last year but Sun Belt offensive player of the year HB Bobby Rainey returns and so does a talented defense. Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year: HB Bobby Rainey, Western Kentucky Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year: DL Jonathan Massaquoi, Troy Sun Belt Championship Game: Troy over Florida International #39 Hawai'i Warriors With Boise St. gone, QB Bryant Moniz and the best passing offense in the nation is the favorite in the WAC. #50 Nevada Wolfpack MLB James Michael-Johnson is the leader of a good defensive unit, but the Pistol offense must regroup after losing star QB Colin Kaepernick to the NFL. #68 Fresno State Bulldogs Speedy HB Robbie Rouse returns, and will be tough for opposing defenses to slow down. #98 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs The Bulldogs air raid offense should eventually turn into a scoring machine, but the defense still appears like it is below average. #99 Idaho Vandals QB Brian Reader looks to have a solid first year starting, but Idaho lost almost all of its playmakers last year. #106 Utah State Aggies HB Robert Turbin will have to get back to his old ways of dominating on the ground before his recent injury, while LB Bobby Wagner will try for his third straight season in leading the WAC in tackles. #114 San Jose State Spartans The Spartans won one game last year, but every starter returns on defense as the Spartans look to improve. #117 New Mexico State Aggies A new spread offense will need to productive for the Aggies to do better than their 1 win season last year. Re: NCAA Football Playoffs (NCAA 12)
Ok guys let me give you a quick rundown how this will work. I am not getting the game until later this month which is somewhat good for this dynasty. By the time I get the game some good re-rated rosters will have come out, and I have plenty of time to make some solid preview for the season. Anyways here is how I will do the dynasty.
First I will start a normal dynasty and do custom conferences. Add Villanova, remove UL-Lafayette. Notre Dame, Villanova, TCU, Temple to Big East, and Houston, BYU to Big 12. I will give then play about 4-8 games a week, and give summaries for them. Each week I'll try and give you a rundown on what happened, and things like top 25 polls, heisman races, and storylines. Then after the conference championship games end, I will exit the dynasty. Using the same rosters, and sitting players that are injured, I will then play the conference championships that couldn't be played in the dynasty (C-USA, Sun Belt, MWC, and WAC). Then I will create bowl games as a prelude to the playoffs which a team will have to have won 8 games to be eligible. Also I will try and make intriguing matchups in these bowl games. Next I will create a playoff with 16 teams. 11 automatic bids for conference champs and then the next 5 best BCS ranked teams. The sites for these games will be the Fiesta, Orange, Rose, Sugar bowls, and then the BCS National Championship game. Using last year's standings this is what a tournament would have looked like. #1 Auburn (SEC Champion) #16 Miami (OH) (Mac Champion) #8 Arkansas (At-Large Bid) #9 Michigan State (At-Large Bid) These two games and the winner of these games will play at the Fiesta Bowl. #4 Stanford (At-Large Bid) #13 UConn (Big East Champion) #5 Wisconsin (Big 10 Champion) #12 Virginia Tech (ACC Champion) These two games and the winner of these games will play at the Orange Bowl. #3 TCU (MWC Champion) #14 UCF (C-USA Champion) #6 Ohio State (At-Large Bid) #11 Boise State (WAC Champion) These two games and the winner of these games will play at the Rose Bowl. #7 Oklahoma (Big 12 Champion) #10 LSU (At-Large Bid) #2 Oregon (Pac 10 Champion) #15 Troy (Sun Belt Champion) These two games and the winner of these games will play at the Sugar Bowl. The Final Four will be played at the BCS National Championship Game site. Ok so as you see some great matchups would occur and a true champion would be crowned giving teams like TCU and Boise State a shot, even if they may have to go through teams like Ohio St., Oregon, and Auburn. Also this will most likely be a one year dynasty unless export a team was put in, or I decide to put in a lot of work and re-create teams in teambuilder or by editing the rosters. EDIT: Actually surprisingly got the game today. Now I am editing rosters, making good sliders and testing them out. Should be ready to go in a couple days.

Re: NCAA Football Playoffs (NCAA 12)
Tim Brando: Hello ladies and gentlemen, and buckle your seatbelts because it is time for another fascinating season of college football. Spencer Tillman: But isn't just any season now is it. Tim Brando: Not at all Spencer, as teams have switched conferences, and we now have a playoff in college football. It has been announced it will be a 16 team playoff featuring 11 conference conference champions and 5 at-large bids based on the BCS standings. With all these changes, schedules have also been changed, and we are announcing the Week 1 games on College Football today! First, the college football opener; the Kansas Jayhawks travel to Pittsburgh to face the Panthers. Spencer Tillman: Great to see some BCS conference teams match-up, but I don't see this one being too close. The Panthers with HB Ray Graham are a much better football team than the Jayhawks. Head Coach Turner Gill needs a couple more years to turn them around. Tim Brando: The next game is Notre Dame's first ever Big East game. With scheduling conflicts, Notre Dame had to fit in their Big East schedule while playing rivals such as USC and Michigan. Should be a tough year for them schedule wise, and they'll start off down south against the USF Bulls. Spencer Tillman: Wow, this is a game I'm looking forward to. A lot of hype in South Bend this year, and USF is no team to sleep on. QB B.J. Daniels could definitely give the Irish problems. I don't think Notre Dame will just walk into the Big East and take over right away, as I don't think the conference gets enough credit. Still, I think the Irish take this once, in a close contest. Tim Brando: Yes, should be a good one indeed. The next contest, is our game of the week. Two teams that have great shots at making the first ever BCS playoffs in Florida State and Oklahoma State. The Seminoles will travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma, and are slight underdogs in this one. Spencer Tillman: This is a can't miss one folks! Stillwater has a tough crowd, so this will definitely be a difficult one for the Seminoles to pull of, but I think they do. The reason why is Cornerback Greg Reid can maintain WR Justin Blackmon, and help stop Oklahoma State's offense. Tim Brando: Yes that battle in the secondary should be a thrill to watch. And finally, our last two games is a new FBS team, the Villanova Wildcats playing at Georgia Tech against the Yellow Jackets, and then the Kansas State Wildcats visiting the Tulane Green Wave. These two games will not be televised but give us some quick picks Spencer. Spencer Tillman: I'll take Georgia Tech and Kansas State. Villanova will have trouble in its first ever FBS game against that triple option, and then the Wildcats have too much talent for Tulane. Tim Brando: Well, that about wraps it up. Should be a dandy of a season, folks! Tune into CBS to watch some great college football match ups, Week 1.

Re: NCAA Football Playoffs (NCAA 12)
OK so I have sliders and edited my rosters to be pretty good. Time to start the season.
I will play usually 5 games a week, and write a report on those games will giving an around the NCAA update about the top 25, heisman race, and upsets. For the first week, since there is only 5 games I will just play 3. I will usually pick the team that has the offense that the CPU struggles to run, like the triple option and teams that like the read option (Oregon). Thats basically all you need to know.

Re: NCAA Football Playoffs (NCAA 12)
College Football Week 1 34 16 Player of the Game: HB Ray Graham had 134 yards off 29 carries, and scored 1 TD in the Pitt victory. Turning Point of the Game: QB Toni Sunseri scores from 22 yards out on an option play behind some poor Kansas tackling. This put Pitt up 31-10 The Game Was Over When: Kansas failed to answer after Pitt went up 31-10. The Jayhawks punted after failing to get a first down. Valiant Effort in Loss: HB J. Sims had 20 carries for 105 yards in a TD for the Jayhawks. Come On! You have to do better than that!: QB J. Webb threw 2 interceptions and had 0 touchdown passes for Kansas, while also fumbling once. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 31 21 Player of the Game: WR T. Riddick had 3 receptions for 22 yards, and 1 carry for a 74 yard TD. Turning Point: HB J. Gray turned the momentum towards the Fighting Irish's favor with a 74 yard rush for a TD to tie the game up at 21 out of the Leprechaun formation (type of Wildcat). The Game Was Over When: You could sense the game was over when T. Riddick went to the house for the second consecutive 74 yard TD run out of the Leprechaun formation. However, it wasn't over until 2 minutes left when a B.J. Daniels incompletion on 4th and 1 gave the Irish the ball up 31-21. Valiant Effort in Loss: HB D. Murray had 22 carries for 87 yards and 2 TDs for the Bulls. Come On! You have to do better than that!: Despite winning, Dayne Crist threw 3 interceptions to only 1 TD. This almost allowed South Florida to pull of the upset. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Georgia Tech 31, Villanova 14 Kansas State 31, Tulane 0
