Rocky Top: A Tennessee Dynasty (NCAA Football 13)

Ok, so I started a Notre Dame dynasty but decided later that I wanted to change it to my already started Tennessee dynasty. I have started a new thread for this dynasty. Please close this thread.

Dooley Out, Kiesel In

The Tennessee Volunteers have announced that they have hired Zack Kiesel to be their next head football coach. Kiesel is a former assistant coach at the University of Maryland, his alma mater. He is known as a good all-around coach with a youthful intensity and love of SEC football.

Kiesel will run a pro-style offense in Knoxville, and hopes to have an offense predicated on running the football and the play-action pass. He will use 3 running backs in tandem this season, Rajion Neal, Marlin Lane, and Devrin Young. Tyler Bray will lead the offense at quarterback, and Kiesel said the team may throw the ball a bit more than his offenses normally would with such a talented quarterback.

The defense will change to an aggressive 3-4 style. Kiesel hopes to bring the same defense he watched the Baltimore Ravens run for many years to Knoxville. He will stress linebacker leadership and run stopping as the two biggest parts of making the defense work.

Re: Rocky Top: A Tennessee Dynasty (NCAA Football 13)

Neal Leads Vols to Victory

Coach Kiesel's first win as head football coach of the Tennessee Volunteers certainly was an impressive one. The team ran his balanced offense to perfection, and the rushing attack proved potent. RB Rajion Neal rushed for over 100 yards and 2 scores, while QB Tyler Bray threw for 2 more touchdowns (both of over 15 yards).

The defense shut down N.C. State's offense, and seemed to do well in their new 3-4 style. It definitely helped that they weren't on the field much at all, with the offense controlling 23 huge minutes of the clock. The team really started out strong and never looked back. It was a very impressive win for the program, and gives hope for the upcoming season. The Vols head back to Knoxville for their home opener at Neyland Stadium against Georgia State.

Re: Luck of the Irish: A Notre Dame Dynasty (NCAA Football 13)

Neal's 3 TDs Leads Vols to Victory

Another week, another impressive win for the Volunteers. They absolutely went to town on FCS opponent Georgia State, exploding for 62 points, all of which were scored on touchdowns. The team combined for 3 passing touchdowns, 4 rushing touchdowns, 1 kickoff returned for a touchdown, and 1 interception returned for a touchdown. In total, that's 9 touchdowns for the Vols today.

RB Rajion Neal proved that he is the guy to put in the backfield near the goal line. He scored 3 touchdowns today while rushing for only 49 yards. QB Tyler Bray threw for 2 touchdowns, and backup QB Justin Worley threw for one as well. Worley was in for the entire 4th quarter and a drive in the 2nd quarter when Bray was shaken up after a sack.

The 2-0 Vols face #23 Florida next week at Neyland Stadium. Fans are excited about this new era of Vols football, and hope the orange and white can come out with their first SEC victory.

Rogers Catches 2 TDs as Vols Upset Rival Florida

New Tennessee head football coach Zack Kiesel certainly knows how to get a city buzzing about him. The Vols won their 3rd straight game of the season against #23 Florida today, and did it by a whopping score of 28-9. A strong second half by the Vols' offense was the key to the victory.

QB Tyler Bray threw 3 TDs and 2 INTs, but did enough to get the passing game going. The running game also improved in the second half, and RB Marlin Lane added a score on the day. WR Zach Rogers was the Vols' leading receiver, and pulled in 2 touchdown passes from Bray.

The defense stole the show in Neyland Stadium today. The defensive line got constant pressure on both Florida QBs and forced huge sack numbers. They hope to continue that effort against Akron next Saturday.

IMPORTANT: I have discontinued this thread because of my mistake naming the thread. My Tennessee dynasty will continue in its own thread. If a mod could close this that'd be great.
