The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired a new coach to replace Jack Del Rio. Zack Kiesel, a young and inexperienced High School coach will take over for the veteran NFL coach. Known as a high-energy players' coach, Kiesel proved in his introductory press conference that he will bring that same energy and enthusiasm to Jacksonville. Many have compared his brash attitude to Jim Harbaugh's.
While rumors fly that Tim Tebow will be making the trip from Denver to Jacksonville, Kiesel had a few things to say about the QB situation. He said that it will be an open competition, and that the front office seems to be looking at bringing in another QB. Kiesel said he will run an offense based on running the football with Maurice Jones-Drew and the underrated defense of the Jaguars.
He looks forward to working with the team, and will be providing a depth chart soon.
Hey guys, thanks for following. I'm working thru the pre-season now. I'm not going to post any game recaps or anything for the pre-season, just trying to get a feel for the team, etc. I'll play a few reg. season games tomorrow, so I'll post more then.
I did trade for Tebow. The Jets didn't want to get rid of him, so I had to part with a 2013 2nd rounder and a 2014 6th rounder to get him. I plan on getting rid of Blaine Gabbert and rolling with Henne and Palmer as backups.
I'll say this about Tebow: The offense did really well when he was playing in the pre-season games. I'd also like to point out that I'm using the Carolina playbook on offense and the Jaguars playbook on defense.
Update: I'll be posting the first regular season depth chart soon, along with notes of any key cuts. Stay posted, and Merry Christmas!
Coach Kiesel has released his first depth chart of the 2012 season. Some notable cuts were made at the same time. QB Jordan Palmer was cut instead of Chad Henne or Blaine Gabbert. Kiesel said that the reason for this was simply financial. It would have costed the team more to get rid of either Henne or Gabbert, and he was happy with having any of the three of them on this year's team.
TE Isaiah Stanback was also cut, leaving the Jags with 2 TE's. Kiesel said that FB Greg Jones will be the 3rd string TE, citing his receiving ability as being perfectly fine as a FB or a TE.
Tim Tebow's first game as a Jacksonville Jaguar was far less than stellar. However, the game was a blowout so quickly that he was forced to pass the ball much more than Coach Kiesel would have liked. He did run for 60 yards, showing how well he can expose defenses with his legs.
With a few minutes remaining in the 4th quarter, Coach Kiesel told his offensive coordinator to take his foot off the gas and try running some option plays. It allowed fans and coaches alike to see how explosive the Jags' option attack can be. Running read options and triple options, the Jags drove the ball down the field well, even though the drive didn't amount in any points.

Alright, after playing half of the next game against the Texans and being down 50-7 at Halftime, I've decided to hone my Madden skills a little more before I step foot into another dynasty like this. Sorry about that. It's just too frustrating to plod along in a dynasty that plays so unrealistically.
i know what your going through with Tebow. I tried doing a CCM with him with the Jets. My whole offense was just basically screens and options to get the offense even going.
