Glazer Family Found Guilty of Fraud

Glazer_2000524c.jpg

The owning family of the NFL's Buccaneers and Manchester United FC of the Premier league in Europe, have been found guilty of money laundering and insider trading. According to sources, the investigation started months ago and the FBI finally gather enough evidence to take the family to court. The federal government has demanded all assets be frozen and all business ventures are null and void. Manchester United FC searches for a new majority owner and the NFL's Buccaneers are officially disbanded due to illegal operations. League sources have stated they are actively searching for a new ownership group to take control of an unnamed 32nd NFL franchise.

Amos Newell, of San Antonio, TX, had a stellar business model and won the vote 22-9. He has stated the team will be based out of his home town. As Texas gets a 3rd franchise, the landscape of the NFL is sure to change.

Expansion Team Information

Over the course of the last few weeks more and more information has been released by Amos Newell and his group of advisors. Newell announced the teams stadium is about half way done and should be ready by opening week of the 2019 NFL Season. The stadium will be the only outdoor stadium in Texas. A vote was held at the San Antonio Government Center for proposed names for the team. The vote was unanimous for the Marshalls. Newell then released uniform options for the team for the fans to vote for online.

The uniforms are unlike any in the NFL but do have a slight resemblance to the Oakland Raiders, although the yellow makes them different. They are one of the newest uniform designs from Nike, next to the Seahawks uniforms. The team has also signed Head Coach Todd Bowles, Chief Scout Max Francis and Trainer Ryan Glickowski.

NFL free agency begins next week.

Re: High Noon: The San Antonio Marshalls

Retirements:
Many big names retired following this season. As an era ends in the NFL, the most notable is QB Tom Brady. QB Drew Brees and HB Adrian Peterson also joined Brady in calling quits this season. Other notable names are as follows:

LB Derrick Johnson, DT Kyle Williams, LB Thomas Davis, LE Julius Peppers, LT Duane Brown, LB Terrell Suggs, LT Jason Peters, LE Cameron Wake, HB Frank Gore, TE Antonio Gates, WR Larry Fitzgerald and HC Andy Reid.

Brady, Brees, Peterson, Gore and Reid have been enshrined in the NFL hall of fame.

NFL Free Agency Results

With the draft kicking off in just a couple weeks, the free agent frenzy is officially over.

The San Antonio Marshalls have signed the following players.

RG Jack Mewhort, CB Josh Norman, CB Ronald Darby, LB CJ Mosley, QB Sam Bradford and WR Dez Bryant.

The Marshalls acquired young talent on both sides of the ball while gaining veteran leadership for their inaugural season. Dez Bryant and Ronald Darby are coming off season ending injuries suffered during the 2018 season. Bradford lost the starting gig in Arizona to eventual rookie of the year Josh Rosen, he and Josh Norman were signed to 1 year deals. As these players will lean one another in hopes to bounce back to their previous glory, the Marshalls have a solid core to build around for years to come with the acquisitions of guard Jack Mewhort, linebacker CJ Mosley and corner Ronald Darby.

Multiple signings of the who's who of NFL talents were signed around the league as well, the key signings are as follows;
HB Le'Veon Bell ARI, DT Gerald McCoy MIA, LB Ryan Shazier WAS, LB Anthony Barr MIA, CB Jason Verrett OAK, TE OJ Howard NYJ, LE Muhammad Wilkerson NYJ, RE Jason Pierre-Paul KC, LB Brian Orakpo ARI, WR Albert Wilson IND, QB Jameis Winston BUF, LB Kwon Alexander ATL, CB Malcolm Butler BUF, CB Trae Waynes CHI, LB Jake Ryan BUF

The biggest spenders this off-season were the Miami Dolphins, signing multiple players to big contracts in hopes to take over the AFC East following Tom Brady's retirement.

Re: High Noon: The San Antonio Marshalls

2019 NFL Draft
As the NFL's 3 biggest days between Free Agency and kickoff have finally ended the Marshalls added a lot of talent on both sides of the ball.

NFL Comparison: Aaron Donald

Ed Oliver has the potential to be a franchise defensive player. He contains a rare combination of speed, size and athleticism. Oliver clocked the 40-yard dash run at 4.70 seconds, which is phenomenal time for a defensive lineman. On top of his speed, Oliver has size and functional strength. He is a well-rounded player who is effective in both phases.

The negatives:
Commits to runs heavily and had a nagging knee injury during his season at Houston. Show's slight attitude problems and got into heated debates with college coaches on the sideline.

Broncos drafted DE Nick Bosa with second pick in the draft.

Pro Comparison: Jabaal Sheard

Carl Granderson is a long rusher with a good NFL frame. Shows the ability to reduce surface area and duck underneath punches; can continue up the arc with decent tilt to threaten the set point.

The negatives:
Athleticism widely disappoints. Lacks explosiveness off the snap to be a true threat to corner and does not have the agility to drop in space as a coverage player at 255 pounds. Has very little, if any, power to his frame, especially in the lower half. Gets blown off the ball easily. Lack of discipline and over-aggressive penetrator*

NFL Comparison: Clay Matthews

'The Predator' Porter Gustin plays with a non-stop motor which makes him a threat to make a tackle at every moment. He is someone who will close the back door with authority, chase a runner several yards down field and register a sack on a moving quarterback. Gustin also brings good athleticism to the field including excellent closing speed.*

The negatives:
Biceps and toe ailments limited him to four games in 2017, while a knee injury held him back in training camp leading into 2018. Ankle injury is the most recent that required season ending surgery. Not good in pass coverage and tendency to overpersue .

NFL Comparison: Tyrann Matheiu

Isaiah Simmons is fast, very athletic, loves to play, very aggressive always has a chance to be disruptive, hard to block with a freaky skill set

The negatives:
Switched to linebacker for his final season at Clemson. Is known to jump balls and bite on run fakes that lead to huge plays for opposing teams.

NFL Comparison: Johnny Manziel

Shea Patterson makes plays with his ability to dance around the pocket and avoid tacklers. He is able to extend plays and sometimes that leads to big plays. He also throws a nice deep ball.

The negatives:
Holds onto the ball too long, needs to get the ball out quicker. Has the issue of being short in stature and that leads him to get passes tipped. Hot and cold when it comes to passing accuracy. Poor ball placement. Makes risky throws.

Pro comparison: Sterling Shepard

Runs decent routes, better than average hands

The negatives.
Kicked off team for social media incident with coaches, lack of maturity, lacks top end speed.

Pro Comparison: DJ Fluker

TJ McCoy is a good run blocker who has the power to be a solid back up in the NFL.

The negatives.
Up and down during college tenure. Can be confused by stunts and lacks the speed to handle NFL outside pass rushers. Poor hand placement, leans on players resulting in easy swims or spins to get in the backfield on pass plays.

Re: High Noon: The San Antonio Marshalls

NFL Regular Season Kicks Off Next Week

With the official start to the season a few days away, teams are scrambling to get better last minute. Multiple trades have happened since week 3 of the preseason including Dallas sending two round seven picks and their 2020 second round pick to the Titans for SS Johnathan Cyprien. The San Antonio Marshalls also made a couple moves sending 2020 round three and 2021 round 3 and 4 picks to the Atlanta Falcons for FS Damontae Kazee and trading 2020 round 4 and 2021 rounds two and six to the Eagles for TE Dallas Goedert.

The Chiefs, Browns and Rams all finished the preseason undefeated. Kansas City had the number one offense with over 300 yards and 22 points per game. The Rams had the number one defense allowing less than 210 yards and 17 points in each of their contests.

The Marshalls season kicks off against San Francisco and the returning Jimmy Garoppolo.
