Yale Bulldogs - A Story of Triumph (NCAA 2006)

A STORY OF TRIUMPH

Hello all and welcome to my attempt at bringing the Yale Bulldogs to Division 1 football in hopes of a National Championship. I've recently dug out my old Playstation 2 and started playing the old games and instantly fell back in love with the series. And so naturally what followed is I wanted to start a dynasty. I've always ran with teams in the Power 5 conferences and I've never truly taken a program from worst to first. So what better way for my first time than to try it with a D2 team.

Since 2006 did not feature custom conferences I decided I would go ahead and put Yale in the Big Ten, which is ultimately where I wanted them. I swapped out the Bulldogs for Purdue. I also brought along Harvard and replaced them with Indiana so I could play them at the end of the regular season. I'm going to do my best to leave Harvard alone, but if I feel they are on the verge of being demoted I will assist them - whether by playing their games, recruiting, whatever. I also let a few other D2 teams make the jump to D2. All moves outlined below:

Big Ten
- Yale for Indiana
- Harvard for Purdue

Big East
- James Madison for UCONN

Mountain West
- Montana for New Mexico

Sun Belt
- App State for UL Monroe
- Ga. Southern for FIU
- Grambling for Troy
- Samford for UL Lafayette

WAC
- Youngstown State for Idaho
- Eastern Washington for San Jose State

Once again, all of you guys are awesome who participate in this crazy hobby of ours. I frequently as well as infrequently visit these boards, but every time I stop by here it's always a really nice, encouraging and positive community.

Re: Yale Bulldogs - A Story of Triumph (NCAA 2006)

Grambling State Tigers 1-0 @ Yale Bulldogs 0-0
9/10/2005, 12:30 PM

The Yale Bulldogs picked up their first win as a member of college football's Division 1 section after beating Grambling State 23-10. Yale's defense led the way, only giving up a total of 134 offensive yards to the Tigers. The Bulldogs held Grambling State to 3-10 on third downs and controlled the game.

The offense did their part in capitalizing on their opportunities when they needed to. Senior QB Napoleon Schroeder had a fine day going 11-16 for 137 yards. He threw for one touchdown and zero interceptions, and the Bulldogs managed to rush the ball 29 times for 144 yards.

All in all it was a good win for Yale and probably much needed as the schedule will get much more difficult from here on out.
