Without knowing way more details is this a bit of a hard question to ask, but your assistant manager should be able to filter out free agents from the pool that actually want to join your team.

Go to Scouting > Players > Player Search.


Click Edit Search > Advanced > Add Condition > Contract Status > Is Expired > Ok

Then check the box that says Interested In. Then click on the gear icon, select from Slightly Interested to Extremely Interested.

This will show every player who is interested in signing who is a fee agent. Of course you still have to scout them.
