Pity about all of our address, telephone numbers, dobs etc....just hope they don't use our details for anything else....guess we'll maybe never know....

At least our a/c is now safe - for the time being...we'll have to keep an eye on it just in case it's hacked again and we need to repeat the p/w change.

I've not had a mail from VG+ about this - yet on twitter they say they've mailed everyone - have you had one?

As for the orgy, I'm primed and ready to go...I'm holiday from Fri 2nd March until Tues 13th...so all systems go for the trackathon.
No i paid there and then mate, and for DHL as well, money left my account within days, and no, no email either, so that could mean they know our details werent in the batch that were stolen? Who knows.

Indeed, got the week of March 5-9 all booked off too, let the little yellow van of glory do its job!

I've also ordered the game from videogamesplus.ca the last 3/4 years. Never really had a problem and even got the game one day before it hit the stores in the US once! You do have to make sure that you use express DHL delivery, though.

However, I'm a little worried now that they are having "security" issues.

I've also ordered other games/movies from planetaxel.com and their service is equally good and shipping is fast, considering it is regular mail. It's taken me 6-10 days to get the movies/games.

Hey, scooter, if you play online and still have '11, add me and maybe we can play some lag-free games. I'm in Nürnberg.

Yes, I know planetaxel too and you´re right their warehouse is somewhere in Europe...can´t remember where though. Last year I pre-ordered at both, kept the one that came first and sold the one that arrived later on ebay .

I never really tried to play sports games online, because of all the cheesers and whatnot. I´ll add you anyways and we´ll see, maybe it really IS fun. I assume your user name on here is your PSN-ID?

Yeah, the psn id can be seen if you scroll over the psn symbol (links <---). And, yeah, I only play online when I play with people I met here or over at mlbtheshoforum.co.uk. My playing style is: sim, guess pitch off, all-star or higher, no fast play but don't mind skipping cutscenes for the sake of brevity. Don't use squeeze plays unless needed, don't steal just for the sake of stealing, etc. I've had some awesome games with users from this forum or the one I mentioned but can't really commit to leagues because I don't often have much time. But yeah, if you feel like giving it a try, let me know and we can play one of these weekends (mornings, I'm up early usually).

Well I emailed VG+ to ask about not receiving a mail and if credit card details had been compromised. Charlotte came back and said that the credit card details were safe and had not been hacked.

The e-mail that was sent was:
            "Dear Videogamesplus.ca customer,

Please be advised that we are currently investigating a security issue. As a safety precaution we are recommending all customers please login to their accounts and change their passwords.

Follow the instructions below to change your password:

            1) Log in
            2) Go to Edit Account
            3) Under the password type the new password
            4) Under the Confirm Password type the new password again and then Continue to save changes.

The site is secure and we will have more information shortly.

Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused."

Charlotte says that more info will be sent out today and wasn't sure why we'd not received a mail....

I didn't receive this one but asked Charlotte to forward me a copy....here is an update from VG+

                  "Security Email,

We are emailing all our customers to let them know that we have had a security breach. Unfortunately, this has meant that some customer’s personal information such as names, phone numbers and email addresses has been compromised.

However, we can confirm that no customer’s credit card or other financial information, other than your general contact information, has been compromised. We can confirm this because Videogamesplus.ca does not internally store full credit card numbers, or any other financial information on our secure server.

We take privacy and security very seriously and have contacted the authorities to investigate the matter further. We have also taken all necessary security steps to ensure our site is once again secure. We are also upgrading and adding new security measures to the site immediately.

We also note that all passwords were encrypted and are accordingly not visible, but as a safety precaution we are still recommending that all customers login and change their current password to a new one. We have sent an earlier email explaining how to make this change. If you require further assistance with this you can contact our customer service team at [email protected]

Unfortunately, you may receive emails pretending to be from us at videogamesplus.ca asking you for personal details, including financial information. We ask you to be vigilant with your email and personal information. We confirm that at Videogamesplus.ca we will never email you asking for passwords, credit cards, banking details or any other personal or financial information, and accordingly recommend that you should simply delete such e-mails and not respond to them. If you receive anything suspicious in your email, please do not click any of the links and forward the email to [email protected] for us to investigate.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers"

This may have been answered, but I'm not going to read through nearly 2000 posts

I heard rumours that there was going to be a European release, was that a lie?

Without doubt, it'll never be released over here for obvious reasons, simply no market for it.

No matter though, just import it like we do

Are you guys getting both ps3 and vita versions?

I'm tempted to buy a vita as being married with one kid, and knowing that this year you can transfer saves between both consoles, It could be a good idea to have both and to advance faster my careers.

I think I have to buy the game again this year

I ordered at axelmusic (planetaxel) last year and received it a few days after release so I guess I'll order there again.

@rodperezto, PsychoBulk: what happened to mlbtheshow.co.uk? I tried to visit the site today but it seems like it doesn't exist anymore!?

Pre-ordered DHL from VG+. I see DHL delivery has gone up by $5 Canadien.

Still completely worth it though, especially getting it on release if not day before.

Just need to decide on a team to roll with this year. Tempted by the Tigers but prefer to rebuild Franchises.
Thinking of going the Orioles this year. Their new lids are now the best in the MLB in my opinion. They have a great ball park plus always going to be a challenge in the AL East

Just the PS3 version for me, cant really see Vita or indeed handheld gaming ever doing anything, for me its a dead genre.

mlbtheshow.co.uk, yeah i think roolz (who made the site) lost a litte interest and i believe he had to put life before other things such as gaming, which is fair enough.

5 weeks today, fellow DHL men, the tracktastic fun will begin!
