Unfortunately no (and I agree that needs to be a thing outside of those two instances) - but you can still back out of the pregame pitcher select screen without actually starting the game after looking at the energy levels. Just make sure to have your controller on your team in the team select or else you'll bypass the lineup/pitchers screens entirely (it'll be treating the game as CPU vs CPU).

What I do is make sure to save before I go into the game because it helps me choose whether or not to call someone up. If you go to the game selection screen and back out, it usually sims your minor league games, so anyone you call up may have already pitched that day and has no energy. So I agree there should be a screen to track player energy at all levels to help with if you need to rest someone/call them up without going into the game screen.
