Come on people. don't start saying in sports forum that is regularly looked at by people who work for a video game company that you'd be willing to pay $40 MORE just to get the game earlier. That will only lead to a world where games are released digitally like a week in advance for like and extra $20 because they know people will pay it. $80 for a video game is not something I ever want to see.

You do know EA has already tried doing something like this before.

That price is right around the corner with or without getting the game early. I think the price we don't want ever want to see is triple digit territory.

EA Sports had something called "Season Ticket" you pay 25 dollars for the year and you digitally download the full retail version of an EA title 3 days before official release(The Friday before) and then pick up physical copy of the game on it's actual release day(it deactivates the day of actual retail release). All your saved data transferred over.

EA Sports had something called "Season Ticket" you pay 25 dollars for the year and you digitally download the full retail version of an EA title 3 days before official release(The Friday before) and then pick up physical copy of the game on it's actual release day. All your saved data transferred over.

I assume you mean $25 a year ON TOP of the $60 for the game.

And what do you mean by "all your saved data transferred over"? Like you could also continue your franchises from one year's game to the next?

Yes you still needed to pay the $60. A ton of people used this feature.

No I meant the digital download version saves transferred over to the actual retail copy so you never lost any progress on the 3 day pre-release. It was never a year to year save thing. that has never been done with any sports title until now with MLB 14

It was $25 for ALL EA games.

So you could pay that, download Madden, NCAA, NHL, FIFA so it wasn't 25 per game.


You could download the game on the Friday before it was released digitally, start your franchise/dynasty/roster save, whatever, and that is the data that would carry over once you bought the retail version.

Well ****, then the idea of paying extra for early release is apparently already ingrained with EA and unfortunately other companies may point to it's successes to do similar things. Once CoD starts doing this, the entire system is going to fall in on the consumers because you KNOW there will a gigantic part of their fanbase that would spend the extra $20 or whatever to get a headstart, or to just "keep up", with other gamers on their gamer level in CoD. It's going to be bad news.

I'm excited about that new camera for when the ball is put in play. Now this is going to be hard for me to explain because of being visually impaired, but you know how on tv, when a ball is hit pretty far for a home run, the camera kind of follows the flight of the ball? I hope this is what the new camera does. They had that exact camera style in All-star baseball.

We pay £60 here in Britain which is almost 100 American Dollars.

I always prefer to have a hard copy of the show even though I never trade it in anyway.

No one knows yet man. Going to have to wait as media comes out over the next few weeks/month.
