If they plan to do one's for the PS3 release I'd expect one very soon. If they aren't planning to do PS3 exclusive ones than who knows as they might want to wait until the PS4 version is closer and have them cover all versions.

Last year the first gameplay blog went up on the playstation blog Jan 17th, game came out March 5th. The year before it was on Jan 18th. Unless I'm missing one somewhere.

There were dev journals earlier than that as well for MLB 13 in Dec 2012.

They typically go up later in the week on the playstation blog, so if they plan to do one next week I'd guess Wednesday or Thursday. But since development is a bit different this year who knows when we'll start seeing the dev blogs.

Anyone know if I buy the show 14 just for the vita, will I be able to transfer my franchise and road to the show from the vita, to the ps4 when the ps4 version comes out

Do you guys think they will close the hit timing window back down just a touch? If I recall correctly from mlb 12- mlb 13 they claimed they made .200 hitters into .220 hitters. Or something like that. I feel like it made diamond dynasty too easy later on in the year.
In reality they probably wont, but what are your thoughts?

They haven't made any formal announcement on changes regarding that, but you never know. It could be in there. There's always minor tweaks that make the game that don't make the fact sheet.

Slightly off-topic here, but I am brand new to Playstation, well, since PS2 anyway--and I'm curious if PS+ is something I'll, "need/want" for The Show.

The only game I have right now is NBA2K and I found I haven't needed PS+ as I don't really care to play online--just need to be able to DL rosters and such.

I find it great that I can DL rosters, files, etc. w/out being FORCED to purchase PS+ (a la Xbox Live).

Any assistance is much appreciated!

Also--is uh, it May yet?

no buddy. If all you want is roster updates, then no you SHOULDN'T need PS+.

I wish I could play online! The thing is, the only thing I need turned on is auto fielding, and that's the one thing you can't do. I can do all the throwing and stuff, just can't see well enough to go get the ball.

I just don't field because I'm useless :P

Haha I'd love to play online but we get a bit of lag generally in the UK which doesn't help much.

I think the fact sheet is great, and I hope they slightly tweak the swing timing to somewhere between '12 and '13. I found I was too late on a lot of pitches in '12 and too early (especially on off-speed stuff) on '13.

I was great in 12, not so much in 13. The new guess pitch system threw me a curve! I couldn't get used to having to guess both location and pitch correctly. I doubt we'll get the old option back, so I'll have to just guess location from now on. It helps me a lot to determine balls and strikes.

I really wish they would come out and say if the sounds of the show feature can be easily patched into the game after Sony releases the firmware allowing MP3s. Or maybe they have and I just haven't read about it yet. But right now I'm kind of debating between which version to get because of it but if I knew we might get it patched in whenever Sony releases the firmware, I'd definitely roll with the PS4 version. If it's a definite "no" to the feature this year no matter what, then I've got some thinking to do and I'll have to see plenty of video of the PS4 version to decide.

First of all nothing directed at you Illmatic, just used your quote because it is the last one I've seen posted about sounds to the show. However, I guess I will just never get why a lot of people are so on the fence about sounds of the show, making it seem like it will make or break the game. Maybe its because I never used it or because I just didn't see the need to use it, but I understand that it makes the atmosphere more authentic. However, it has no effect on game play whatsoever. I just cannot grasp the concept that someone would go with a last gen version of a game oppose to the new top of the line version, just because you can't add your own music and sounds to it. I guess to each their own, but for me its not a necessary feature or a feature I care enough about for me to considering one version over the other.
