Are you wondering how on earth I listened to games during those times when an afternoon game was on, and I was in school? Simple, being visually impaired, all my books were on audio. No problem at all to pretend I was reading my text books, while really listening to John Sterling!

You are the ultimate fan and a symbol of happiness and upbeat personality, despite your condition! You still enjoy playing The Show, even though you're visually impaired. That's very funny about the audio books thing!

I'm a complete newbie to the show but I bought a ps4 only for this game. I played the crap outta 2k12 for Xbox buying the game 3 different times. The game was so flawed but the pitching system was so much fun. I've looked up pitching tutorials for the show but I'm not understanding how the analog pitching or the pulse pitching works. I'm guessing it doesn't have the gesture pitching (half circles, up & down) on the analog? Any help would be appreciated.
I'd love to join an online league once it comes out.

No The Show doesn't have gesture pitching. The closest is analog pitching where you pull the analog stick back and up in the direction you pinpointed your pitch (inside/outside) and the velocity of your upwards movement of the stick determines the effort/speed the pitcher put into the pitch.

I still use the meter. I think meter pitching is best for the simple reason that every pitcher's timing is different, and you're not just pressing one button and leaving it to chance.

The meter gives you more good pitches but also more bad ones, because it's down to human error and the specific pitcher you're using.

The 2k analog pitching was design to act like the hand gestures of each pitch, so each pitch type would feel different to throw like it is in real life. for me it was fun I enjoyed it, it had a good payoff feeling when you happen to throw the pitch perfectly for a strikeout

I'm pretty sure your correct there my man. Glad to know someone enjoyed it cause I have a friend who liked it as much as you do so it's good to hear the other side. I just could never get the hang of it.
