Yeah well I got the idea playing Tiger Woods golf, so props to EA of all devs, lol. But yeah so subtle but so very distinctive of what a summer day sounds like. Would really complete the package because it's the only thing the ambient audio is missing.

This is my first time to this discussion page, so seeing somebody think of a tension meter a couple of months before I thought of it myself the other day is quite satisfying. I like the arguing system as well. Not only could it shrink or expand the strike zone a little bit, it could also go along with your relationship with that umpire as well. Have a calm conversation and it's cool, but if you are aggressive, it could get you kicked out of the game. Umpires don't mind if you talk to them, but they don't like being shown up. I love the rivalries thing, too. I'm pretty sure MLB won't want fighting in their games, but some agitation between the benches during a heated rivalry series would add another feel to the game.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I'd love to be able to choose to pitch from the stretch, or not with runners on base, or the bases loaded. I remember ASB05 had this.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I like the idea of slow-mo, but only in specific situations as mentioned above. Close plays at 1B would be cool to see, but only during the time a runners foot hits the bag. Also, with the PS4's better looking faces, really quick cuts of a pitcher's face after giving up a home run or striking out a batter would be cool:

I agree. Need a more dynamic cat and mouse game between base runners and pitchers.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Never understood why this is still not in. This goes along with the option to be able to use R3 while pitching to switch to the pov of the pitcher like you can allready do while batting.
This way you can check the runners for real and then switch back to normal view again."When it's all set and done, reality is the best innovation."Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
yep agree a ton more stats pitchers actually checking runners. alot more foul ball animations with players getting injured occasionaly. hate the stupid foul that bounces into the ground and then hits batter. they should add more animations here batters hopping around fallin to one knee things like that. im a MOM player so these type of things are big for me. without these type of improvements might just stay with ps3 a little while longer.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Same as well. I believe today marks two months since we saw anything regarding the game.. I'm dying for more information, luckily with the game being released on PS3, we should get information soon anyways. The problem is we won't get any videos or pictures of next gen until around late February, if the game does indeed release in May. The only reason I'm this hyped is because of what the game could be on the PS4 and the excitement it will bring.Harvey's BetterComment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I think it's important that there is more variation. Whether that be in the way the game looks, the way the game is played, or the way it is presented. I like Madden 25 on the PS4, but the difference between that and a game like NBA 2K is that no game feels the same on 2K. Once you've played a few games of Madden you've pretty much seen it all.
The Show, especially early on, was great about this. As the console's lifespan wound down, things obviously began to get a little more stale. Hopefully, if nothing else, MLB: The Show 2014 on the PS4 feels new and different.
I think things like different swing animations (there are only about five, currently, IIRC), dynamic commentary, and different field (grass) styles would really help.Writer for Operation Sports

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I totally agree! Now for me, I can't comment much on the graphics being visually impaired, but if mlb the show can get anywhere near the sound presentation MBA 2k, and even mlb2k did, it would be the best game.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed!
