Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
One thing I love, the ps4 menu system is very visually impaired friendly. I can't read the options, but its very easy to memorize. Shareing is honestly so easy, I think you guys would be able to do it with your eyes closed. hahahaha, then again, maybe its just so easy for me because I'm used to memorizing.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
All the talk about being able to have game saves from last years game, I take it that doesn't inclue roster files? if that was the case, wouldn't the age of players be screwed up becaues they would be 1 year behind in age?
I still wish we could add service time to players, as the only way is to export 1 or 2 players that are able to be exported from the default roster. and last year they only have Pot CsComment

Not the roster itself from year to year....but within each save everything will be brought forward from one version to the next within the game save.

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I am a bit confused by how this will work, so I play a season with 2013, bring it into 2014, players would still retire from within the 2014 end of first season? and what scheudle will we have the 2014 one or 2013?

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I see, to me that makes me think that the PS3 version will be out in march and ps4 version in May, so that we have to buy the ps3 version and be able to transfer when May comes. it's the only reason I can see for having this feature inComment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
The version to version transfer is not even available until NEXT year's version.(you will be able to take wherever you left off from this years game and move it onto MLB '15.)

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
You won't be able to transfer from PS3 to PS4, you WILL be able to transfer PS4's MLB The Show14 to MLB The Show 15. I'm assuming it will basically be an upgrade to your MLB 14 saved files, with all the MLB 15's new features. First year phenoms (Like Puig) probably will not find their way into your crossed over saves though. Don't know that for sure, but I doubt it.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
My only concern with carrying over franchises is the obvious lack of realistic scheduling from year to year... But that's a problem even now.
What I mean is, carrying over a franchise from Mlb the show '14 to Mlb the show '15 in order to continue your current franchises progress, when you finally finish a season and move onto the second year (in this case 2015 schedule) you will not have an accurate 2015 schedule of opponents, and so on and so forth for year '16, '17. Obviously schedules in real life are not released years in advanced (not even a year in advanced) so I wonder if they can somehow in future additions of the show, add a feature when you can either edit schedules yourself to be accurate or have an option to import schedules from a database once the new schedule is released.
Obviously this would only benefit to those people who would only finish one season before the real life schedules are released, but it would still be a cool feature to consider.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
But playing RTTS past July in real life is pretty much the same for me, none of the new guys.
I think it will come down to the question of "Would I rather start over with all the new names? or Keep going"
Personally, I would start over, but I can definitely see how playing the same game save all the way through would be worth the time.
But lets say that if you only play 1-2 seasons a year, every game or whatever, after 2-3 game cycles, and 5-6 played seasons, I could see the "Game Saved" MLB roster looking FAR different from the "Real Life" MLB roster.Comment

But that is part of the fun of it. See how your franchise develops over the years versus how the real baseball league develops.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Thats just me though. I do enjoy watching my draft picks develop though, actually thats what i'm doing right now with a Houston franchise, 4 number 1 picks in a row!!! and we aren't any better than when I started LOL!!!Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
It will be awesome to make one RTTS and stick with it, however, I didn't enjoy it last year at all with no announcers calling the action. I don't know, maybe I didn't like it because being visually impaired, I depend on play-by-play.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment
