But look at the audience that's asking for info. It's the audience that's buying the game regardless which equals to no added benefit.


Have you seen anyone post who's asking for info that's on the fence about buying the Show?

I'm not so sure. The Show and its reputation made it a system seller. With all the troubles people have had with Madden (EA holding back info then a disappointing game) and NBA (2K & EA holding back info then disappointing games), the lack of info may make non baseball fans who just like a great video game not buy. If they would have came out with some PS4 info, that may have persuaded many PS3 owners to make the jump to the PS4 this year, rather than next. 2K had built up a lot of respect for how they improved their NBA game over the last generation, close to SCEA territory to be honest, and look at how what happened. I think that's why you have half the people worried and the other half blindly following SCEA (because they earned that kind of respect).

More of a head scratcher with their strategy is not releasing any PS3 info on the game. That version has to be near complete since it didn't have to be rebuilt like the PS4 did. Yesterday or today are such quiet sports days that it would have made the most sense to release info. Olympics start tomorrow, draft combine is right after the Olympics, March Madness after the combine, then the NFL draft. Unfortunately, baseball tends to get forgotten about and maybe a trailer would build some momentum into Spring Training.

More info will be released soon enough, whether its PS3 or PS4 related, or both. The world will rejoice and all will be forgotten/forgiven! (except the true fence purchasers, Madden & NBA2k will be in the back of their minds)

I think they will release the most epic sports gaming trailer in history next week and we'll all be storming the SCEA studio in San Diego to make shrines, throw flowers and dance hand in hand in tears untill it comes out.

It's still a little weird they are showing the game in Southeast Asia but yet not one release of info. This next gen at least until Titanfall has been eh. I think it's been shown that when you set up the infrastructure for video games around servers..it's failed. As great as The Show is do you really trust their servers if they build their next gen game around their servers like NBA 2k14 did ? Hope I am wrong but I wouldn't build my hopes up too much for this years next gen title. I don't know if lack of info has something to do with RBI announcement or they just aren't ready yet..we will see

The wait, with no info. sucks, no doubt. But I have a feeling when we do see the trailer, it is going to knock our socks off, and will be worth it.

These devs are my favorite (along w/ Naughty Dog). When it comes to detail, there is simply no match. So for them, they are probably crushing it, as Knight said, regarding new animations, etc.

I'm interested to see the PS4 sales numbers once they actually announce a release date. I for one am just waiting for that before I get mine and right now I am glad that I haven't assumed anything about it even being released.

I'm interested to see the PS4 sales numbers once they actually announce a release date. I for one am just waiting for that before I get mine and right now I am glad that I haven't assumed anything about it even being released.

May not change anything instantly for the simple reason those that waited for the Show may find bundles that include the Show. I don't see folk immediately going out to buy a PS4 based on a release date of a game. I could be wrong but that just my opinion.

Pretty obvious this game isn't going to be coming out in march, Russ said there will be no less info that comes out and the time line is simply different, which to me indicates a later release. Kinda blows since the lack of games that interest me on the PS4 means I am ready to pour some serious hours into MLBTS.

I haven't picked up the game since '10 or '11 since it got very stale and baseball games, for me, are harder to get into since there is a huge number of games per season. '14 looks like it has a few features which could keep me into it, just wish we werent staring at an April or later release.

It's not just this year that I wanna know about. I wanna know what kinda stuff they can do with it in later game years. Russ made it sound like all the limits from the PS3 are now gone with the PS4, so he makes it sound they can literally do anything with the game on PS4. That makes me both excited and wary because there's a *lot* of things I want to know if they can do now. Ugh, this is what the wait is doing to people. It's making us repeat stuff and still feel like we're saying something new.

Something interesting I found on Gamestop's Website:

"Road to the Show evolves in MLB 14 with a new intuitive player creation process and all new pre-draft prospect showcase"

Oddly, that's the only piece of new information on the description page.
