Will we still get the highlight clips at the end of every game that we can save to our hard drive like on PS3?

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Something small i'd like to see (probably won't happen, but can't be that hard) is choosing whether or not you wear a hat during the home run derby, or if you want to wear it backwards like Griffey.
I'd like to see this specifically for RTTS.NFL : Atlanta Falcons
MLB : Toronto Blue Jays

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Hey there. first time poster.
First time I saw the new PS4 screenshots I was a bit disappointed, but then I took on board what made that first look video so good > the lighting + the whole thing being in motion.
You could see the light reflection off each individual facial hair! (look again, it's awesome)
I bet once we see it in motion (especially in different lighting) we'll be like :O!!!!!Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I am speaking solely of the release dates.
It IS NOT about money...as I'm SURE releasing both games together and on the earlier date that is "normal" would result in the same IF NOT MORE sales...especially on the PS4 platform.
Period ...exclamation point.

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Holding on to a finished product for 3 months just for the sake of a "convenient" release date? That's a good way to not succeed as a company, especially in 2014. You open yourself up to all kinds of inside leaks, information sharing, and production/distribution problems.
It's silly to assume SCEA is doing that. Trust me... the PS4 game is going to come out as soon as it is ready to come out. Whatever small profit you think they can get from waiting until May... it doesn't outweigh the costs they would hypothetically incur to secure and monitor a completed PS4 game for 120 straight days... or the costs incurred from having 3 months taken away from your development cycle.
Stop it.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
They did say May (and although it can easily be pushed back further), I'm gonna go on a limb here and say it not only DOESN'T get pushed back, in fact, they do push it UP into April. (Late April however, like the 28th, 21st at the earliest)Comment

It's all conjecture. I am only going on what I have seen done in other companies in which I have worked. But you are right...neither one of us really knows what drives a later release date. Common sense tells me it is more than one thing and most likely some combination of what we both might be thinking...and more.
By the way...I don't mind discussing but I don't get into flame wars...but genuine logical discussion can be good.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
As I know everyone here is, I'm really excited for May to roll around to get my hands on the PS4 iteration of The Show. The Show single-handedly forced me to switch from the XBox 360 back over to the Playstation 3. I hate that it won't hit shelves until May, but there is no development team I trust more than the guys over at SCEA. I've been impressed more and more each year with those guys ever since I made the transition over to The Show.
After looking at the screenshots that were released, and reading through the "mini" fact sheet - even watching the PS3 video - May can't get here fast enough. I'm patiently, but excitedly, waiting for the first PS4 video to be released.
One thing I'm hoping to see is more stats. I'm a huge, die-hard baseball fan so of course I'm a stats guy and stats are a huge part of baseball. I know we'll see the generic stats that we've grown used to seeing such as wins, losses, saves, ERA, strikeouts, walks, strikeouts per 9, walks per 9, average against (right-handed and left-handed), hits allowed, home runs allowed, batting average, hits, doubles, triples, home runs, RBIs, strikeouts, walks, stolen bases, stolen base percentage, on-base percentage, OPS, slugging percentage - and the list could go on and on. What I liked to see, and it may not be able to be fully incorporated into this years game (which is perfectly fine with me), but I'd like to see a few more of the sabermetric stats begin to be introduced since they're being used more and more every year.
I'm sure the presentation is going to be well done as well, and I'm also looking forward to the new animations.
I wish I could just go into hibernation until May rolls around. But, I guess Battlefield, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and NBA 2K14 will have to hold me over until it does. Once May rolls around, though, none of those games will see very much playing time.Comment
