It's getting awfully quiet around here. I feel as though if no new info comes out this week, these forums will start to get restless again. There was a sugar high last Monday with the full fact sheet, now this place has crashed with little excitement or buzz anymore (there's not much more to talk about at this point). It's like the week after Thanksgiving, it takes a week to recover from all the gorging.

Normally, we'd be exactly 1 week until release day. We'd know everything about the game expect what it's like to actually play it ourselves. Spring Training games officially begin tomorrow, excluding the scrimmages against college teams today. I think this is going to be the new reality with all sports titles from now on, release the same week as opening day rather than a month before. I just hope some gameplay videos surface with the some real life games actually beginning to pop up on TV.

I would have to agree it is awful quiet here at least on the ps4 section of this forum, I assume since it was announced that the PS4 version isn't coming out until May nobody is expecting any additional info or videos until April.

First of all nothing directed at you Illmatic, just used your quote because it is the last one I've seen posted about sounds to the show. However, I guess I will just never get why a lot of people are so on the fence about sounds of the show, making it seem like it will make or break the game. Maybe its because I never used it or because I just didn't see the need to use it, but I understand that it makes the atmosphere more authentic. However, it has no effect on game play whatsoever. I just cannot grasp the concept that someone would go with a last gen version of a game oppose to the new top of the line version, just because you can't add your own music and sounds to it. I guess to each their own, but for me its not a necessary feature or a feature I care enough about for me to considering one version over the other.

It's an ignorance is bliss thing, I'd gather, no offense. In NCAA I have the ultimate set of marching band sounds for the entire B1G set up; not having them and going back to generic EA atmosphere would detract a ton from the experience, while people who never used them in the first place obviously would never know the difference. If you've genuinely put in the work (and it is work) to have a really good set of custom sounds, it's huge.

In NCAA I have the ultimate set of marching band sounds for the entire B1G set up; not having them and going back to generic EA atmosphere would detract a ton from the experience, while people who never used them in the first place obviously would never know the difference. If you've genuinely put in the work (and it is work) to have a really good set of custom sounds, it's huge.

I figured that would be the case, I always wanted to use the sounds of the show but never did, call it laziness. However, actually I didn't know where I could get the sound bytes until this year. But also seeing that for the PS4 version they reworked all the sounds in the game so who knows maybe they will have at least the stadiums music in the game, definitely won't have every players walk up music, but could quite possibly have the stadium organ music.

Hopefully they aren't releasing any new photos because they are working on improving the player models and faces.

I am pretty sure the game is done on faces. I could be wrong and I am sure they will tell me if I am wrong.

Oh I know, I'm just ready for baseball. Been spoiled all my life by the game releasing before the season. At least there's the Baseball Prospectus team podcasts to pass the time!

Yeah, I have to think that they are going to end up losing potential sales on waiting until May. Everyone gets hyped for baseball in late March/early April when the season starts. By mid-may, the NBA/NHL playoffs are in full stride, and no one cares about baseball.

Obviously we don't know exactly what point they are at right now, but......it's unfortunate that we have 2+ months to wait now.

Exactly. I understand a new console's gonna come out a little later than normal first time out, BUT right now I'm SOOOOO hyped for baseball. Like I CANT WAIT for it to come. And for me every year, The Show's a BIG part of that. Knowing it isn't coming out until May is highly unfortunate.

This is the ideal situation for that upgrade deal they offered with several of the launch titles. I hate the thought of waiting until May but I justcant justify2full priced purchases to get the PS3 first. Even thecross buy offer of $100 offered on NBA2K isa bit much.. now full priced PS3 version with the $10 cost to upgrade when the PS4 is out would be awesome! Ain't gonna lie, The Show is themain reason I got my PS4 at launch!!

I would love to see that option for The Show, but I don't see it happening.

They didn't even do a deal for the PS3 and Vita versions last year like they did the year before.

I was great in 12, not so much in 13. The new guess pitch system threw me a curve! I couldn't get used to having to guess both location and pitch correctly. I doubt we'll get the old option back, so I'll have to just guess location from now on. It helps me a lot to determine balls and strikes.

well, im guessing you're referring to online/DD.. but there was definitely an option to change it in exhibition and franchise modes.
