Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Instead of hoping for a seperate college baseball game, is there any chance College can be integrated into a future MLB The Show? Even if it is separate DLC?Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Your gonna run into the same licensing problems the football games just went through, so i'm gonna say it probably wont happen.Comment

Probably the most we would see would be just a few generic teams (State vs Tech, etc). It wouldn't nearly immersive enough because of licensing problems, at least to me.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
If I try to play all 2,430 games from the 2014 schedule -- and don't finish -- can I transfer that same file (2014 schedule ) to MLB 15 ?
Thanks.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Basically can you continue a franchise that is at say August 14th 2014 in MLB 15 and begin at August 14th 2014?Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
This is actually interesting. Will future games contain the previous year(s) schedules or can you only continue a franchise that is in at least one year into the future? i.e. 2015 for MLB 14.

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I did think about it. Its not just the schedules as in the games and times, but also presentational aspects.
It would be pretty awkward if the announcers describe a moment from 2014 in MLB 15 that hasn't occured yet in you're franchise since it's technically in the previous year.
Imagine an announcer going "Well, Chris Davis had a real down year in 2014, but he's hoping to rebound and get back to where he was when he led the lead in home runs in 2013." Meanwhile its April 5th 2014 in your franchise.
They'll probably account for stuff like this, but its not just as simple as insert schedule and go.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I really hope next gen is able to make a change of baseball gaming. I loved baseball as a kid and a teen but as I grew to an adult baseball has really fizzled out. So when I see these baseball games they all look the same. Hope they can make these games like seen the sport in person.Comment

I would watch a few games (especially once the playoffs rolled around) and read up on the Cubs every week or so, but as a whole I wasn't too interested.
After playing The Show at a friend's house I instantly ran out and bought it (MLB 08) and spent an entire weekend diving back into baseball. Now I absolutely love it again. I've matured and began to understand the depth of the game beyond seeing a man mash 50-60 450 foot home runs a year. And I owe a lot of that to getting back into it through The Show. I can't say that you'll love baseball again because of it, but I can say that it played a big role in my rediscovered love for the game.Comment
