Until March 29th, you can get 15% off any single item at Gamestop using the code paypal15. I was able to preorder The Show. After tax saved about 6 bucks, but it's 6 bucks so I'll take it. Also in-store pick-up so no shipping.

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Can anyone tell me if this has been answered anywhere, or maybe if a developer happens to be reading this thread they could answer this for me:
in The Show 13, in RTTS mode, players would get into free agency and not get a single contract offer. I know for myself, I was coming off like a 50+ HR season, OPS over 1.000, MVP, Gold Glove, etc and was only like 24 years old. Get to the offseason, nada. I actually saved before the offseason and attempted free agency multiple times to see what would happen, occasionally I would get offers (usually lowball offers) but more often than not I would not get a single offer and I would have to pick a team to try out for in spring training. Once or twice I would get an offer for an extension from my current team and then they would trade me in the offseason (a sign and trade? lol) This is an egregious problem for RTTS in my opinion. Has this been addressed in 14? I can't imagine Mike Trout getting through his arbitration years and then sitting in free agency for 3 months lol. (He probably won't get to free agency if the Angels have anything to say about it, but it's just an example).Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I was wondering if anybody could give me their best answer on my question, if a player debuted in the summer last year (i.e. Xander Bogaerts for the Red Sox) will he be included in the game right out of the box? or will the wonderful OSFM roster guys have to create him? and I had a separate question about international free agents who signed in the offseason (Jose Dariel Abreu, Alexander Guerrero, etc) will these guys be included in the game or no?PSN: lxl_Porta_lxl

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Bogaerts will be in the game out of the box. If you're getting the PS3 version guys like Abreu, Guerrero, etc....... won't be in the game til after the first weeks of the season which would make the second SCEA roster update. If you're getting the PS4 Abreu, Guerrero, Tanaka should come in the Roster update that ships with that game. (Not 100% sure but a few of these guys may come with the game right out of the box on the PS4 depending on when the game development is done cause they'll have made debuts already)PSN: lxl_Porta_lxl

Idk about the portraits we will just to wait and see on that. Keep in mind with these guys they have to play in a game to be put in. Guerrero might not be in the game as he is likely to start in AAA.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Am i the only one who isn't impressed with this PS4 version.
I see these game trailers, and it looks like the same game engine to me.
How many years have they been running that game engine now?
Frame rates hover around 30 witch looks jittery and not smooth.
The gameplay looks the same too.
The players hair is all i have seen improved here.
Not looking Next Gen.
NBA 2K looked more Next Gen than this.
But they have competition with NBA live.Comment
