If you start a game with quick count off is there a way to turn it on or do you just have to start a new game?

No. It can't be toggled on/off once you start a game.

Is there a way to get my saved sliders to just load automatically? I keep going into exhibition games and the sliders are back to default...very aggravating.

Love the game but sick & tired of the AI forcing you to lose games. What I mean is them forcing balls so you have to throw in the middle of the plate so they get a hit or a run. Finding a lot of rubberbanding effects (like mario kart) with dynamic difficulty, which I hate.

I haven't seen that at all, but I haven't done much pitching. Are you sure your pitcher isn't tired?

on my preorder reciept i have the code for the stubs and i put it in psn, when i go into my game, it still shows i have 50, anyone know whats going on?

I have been playing this game for a long time and have never felt the AI forced me to lose. I would look at mid to late game strategy on your end first before writing it off that is the game.

You have to go to buy stubs or use stubs, It says there on 30000 " Ready to Use " click on that and you should be good to go.

Yup. People want to try and pitch too perfectly and this game (and series), by design, does not allow you to do that. With everything but classic pitching (and maybe Pulse if you're not that good with the accuracy), you really need to aim either on the corners or outside of the zone if you really don't want to risk leaving a fat pitch over the middle. Many times, pitches aimed outside the zone will actually land inside it, on the corners - and those are the very same ones that would land right in the middle if you were trying to aim to the corners. Those are strikeout pitches and ones where the batter will generally make weaker contact. Worst case, it probably misses for a ball, which is fine if you're ahead in the count as a pitcher. If you're behind or the count is full, you have to take a bit more risk by aiming inside the zone unless you're willing to walk the batter.

Will you throw balls and even walk people pitching like that? Of course. But it's better than hanging a pitch over the middle to get mashed.

This is generally how the API behaves as well, especially when the pitcher is ahead in the count. But there's a problem there - the game is assuming the pitch won't go directly to the spot it's calling for - it certainly doesn't for classic pitching, anyway, and will instead get pushed to the corners or outside the zone. With skillful use of the pitching meters, you can hit the catcher's mark right where he's aiming fairly consistently - and that's usually bad news.

Been playing this series for years, and I used to feel this way too. It used to be a hot topic for discussion on these forums until mods put a stop to it. Bottom line is that I hold onto leads constantly... in fact, most of the time nowadays.

You HAVE to change your strategies as it gets later in the game. The CPU WILL try hard to come back (just like real MLB teams... look up the stats for how often it occurs). You need to be really smart with the bullpen, take your opponent very seriously, walk powerful hitters in order to take advantage of weaker players, and ignore your catcher when he says always keep the ball down-- hitters pick up on pitcher tendencies. is it just me or do the umpires in franchise mode call a lot of pitches in the corners or clear strikes balls often forcing you to almost pitch it right down the middle to get it a called strike?

Ok, so in franchise mode how can you tell someone in AAA is ready foe the majors? Like do thier stats increase or decrease throughout the year or do they only go up at the end of the season? I fantasy drafted so my farms is filled with A and B potential guys expect for pitching. My SS got hurt and i sent him to the DL i called someone up from AAA to fill the spot until he returns. Just wondering if it can hurt a prospect by calling him up to soon and him not being ready and he stinks up the joint. Another question, can you call up and sent players to the minors as many times as you want as long as they're under contract or you can only do it a certain amount of times?

Turn off variable strike zones.


Each umpire has a different strike zone in the game, just like real life. Some have smaller zones, some have larger. Some of their zones extend outside/inside and some extend higher or lower. If you want each pitch to be called exact, you can turn the option off.

Honestly we all have our own opinions and I will let mine rip, I love this game, I have played the show every year and man this has been the most fun I have had in a long time. This game is like pure crack to me lol.

And I must say the graphics are outstanding, I mean I'm in awe every time I watch this game.

I really can't say anything bad at all. I'm just having a blast

The catch region indicator was 'removed' in favor of the dynamic ball fielding marker mechanic. It is still there, behind the scenes in a sense though.
