So far the trade works out as follows, keep in mind the cubs still like the deal.

    Yankees Get:

    SS Javier Baez
    3B Christian Villanueva

    Cubs Get

    C Gary Sanchez
    OF Slade Heathcott
Dunno what the other user was saying before but even with Pineda in the deal it still isn't fair. Heathcott has like no value and Sanchez is a 1B. Javier Baez is a top 5 prospect. I don't know who the Yankees have on their roster that could be used to acquire Baez. This is very unfair for the Cubs.

Red Sox Receive: Quentin, Venable and Street. (Venable to play CF. Sizemore and Ibanez are both hurt for awhile).

Cardinals Receive: Josh Johnson + Headley + Tazawa (RP BOS) + Deven Marrero (SS BOS).

Padres Receive: Piscotty (RF STL) + Grichuk (CF STL) + Marco Gonzales (SP STL) + Garin Cecchini (3B BOS).

    How does that look?
Red Sox are giving up Tazawa, Marrero and Cecchini for Quentin, Venable and Street. That's fair.

Cardinals are giving up Piscotty, Grichuk, and Gonzalez for Johnson, Headley, Tazawa and Marrero. That's a pretty big value loss for them IMO.

Padres are getting Piscotty, Grichuk, Gonzalez and Cecchini for Headley, Qunetin, Venable, Street. That's too much.

And yeah I can understand getting sad as an O's fan from these trades, I would never want the O's to do this in real life, but I'm probably gonna only play one season of the this franchise so I'm just gonna try and build the team to be as good as possible as I can right away.

Totally understand that. I used to have bad franchise ADD that i recently overcame in NCAA 14. Hoping that will translate to The Show once the Hybrids come out

Which makes it better? If I take out Gonzales and replace him with Cooney or Petrick or just only take Piscotty, Griichuk and Cecchini?

If you gave them Cecch, you could swap Piscotty out for Wong.

Forgot to say that the year is just starting so there are no teams in contention.

What were Holliday's numbers last year? Also the easiest way would be check the rosters and see who has needs in left field or DH to determine suitors (id also check lineups to see if they need more run producers).

I just traded Buxton for Springer, Chris Carter, and Mark Appel. Do you guys think its a good trade? I personally really like it.

Don't like it. Springer and Appel will be good players, maybe all stars a couple times, but Buxton has superstar potential. I don't think the Twins would move him period, regardless of what they get back (other than Mike Trout lol).

Just noticing after 3 weeks into the season in my one-player Red Sox chise Miller is pretty wild and Britton isn't quite ready...any lefties that i could pick up in mid April that are realistic? Would LOVE JP Howell and with the Dodgers having Paco as well, could he be a possible target?

Troy Patton is going to get dealt IRL. Lavarnway is a good fit.

Yeah but I want to be good in the next year or two. Springer is ready for the majors already while Buxton needs time to develop.

If you're taking Wong, you should give Utley back.

                                Lee + Utley for Adams + Wong + Pedro Jr + Piscotty/Reyes?
Ironically, the Cardinals offered me Utley for Reyes. I debated it, but my farm system is so thin and pitching depth is so awful that I felt I had to take it. It works for both teams, but I was contending for a WC and that trade pretty much ends that.
