MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Going to be the Angles in an OF, looking to add any of the following.
- Starting pitcher (possibly a guy who can be a #3)
- Power batter (somewhere in the 80s as far as power)
- Relief pitching
I was once thinking of going after Matt Kemp due to the Dodgers outfield being stacked.. Josh Beckett as far as pitching due to the Dodgers pitching staff also being stacked..
Due to me not having many trade assets, I didn't know where to look. Anybody wanna help a brotha out.
Potential no 3's: Lackey, Morrow, Kennedy, Kendrick, Niese, Buehrle plus maybe someone like Dan Hudson bouncing back. Get Mike Leake from the Reds and see him blossom? There are many storylines to build around
Power hitters are hard to come by without giving up a lot. Agree that Adam Dunn fits the bill. Mark Reynolds is another option. Don't know about his exact rating but Dayan Viciedo has some pop and probably wouldn't be any worse in LF than TrumboLast edited by Totte; 04-09-2014, 01:29 PM.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

1.) Navigate to the manage roster screen in your franchise in the 'personnel' section.
2.) Move your cursor over to the "potential" column with your analog stick.
3.) Click X, and select "sort."
4.) Your "A" potential players should now be at the top of your screen.
5.) This is where you can tell the difference between the highs, mids, and lows. There are 'groups,' or 'tiers,' of potential rankings, which is view-able based on overall. For instance, say the top six A Potential players have the following overalls:
72
93
61
75
65
84
The overalls will rank from high to low within each subset of the letter grade. So in this case, the 72 overall player (say, a top 20 in the league prospect) has the highest potential, and the 84 (say, a borderline allstar) has the lowest potential of that grouping. This applies for all potential grades. There are about 8-10 subsets or tiers of every potential. Be careful though, as not every team has all of these subsets, so a low B prospect on a team with a bad farm may look like a high B.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Justin Nicolino for Middlebrooks straight up? Or just go and add to get Cabrera from the Indians? At the end point here, just need last opinions because if i add Justin i may just keep him and deal off some of my other pitching options i am not fond of for a SS. So what i am thinking is:
Miami Marlins Receive:
Will Middlebrooks
Boston Red Sox Receive:
Justin Nicolino

Cleveland Indians Receive:
Allen Webster
Ryan Lavarnway
Boston Red Sox Receive:
Asdrubal Cabrera
Yan Gomes (i like his bat)
Look fair, need to add or?Come hang with me on YouTube! I stream/make videos on a variety of games from sports, to action, to adventure!

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So I'm trying to get rid of Headley to gain some younger talent.
Headley is batting .337 and is on pace for 30 home runs.
I was looking around and there are a few places I feel I could ship him. Tell me what yall think.
To LA for Kemp.
To CIN for Bruce
To KC for HosmerComment

I think if a team wanted to acquire Headley it would probably be for prospects not ML talent. Are you looking for realism or just fairness?

We had some 3B needing teams a few pages back but most of them were in need of a young guy. In this case, I'm thinking the Yankees, Dodgers, maybe the Pirates if they move Alvarez to first.
Anyone else have ideas?

But for the sake of realism, it all depends on how the season goes. Doing poorly, no shot of the playoffs? Nuh-uh. In the hunt for the title, do it.Last edited by guayo10; 04-09-2014, 08:27 PM.Comment
