It went threw several weeks ago so I don't know if I can undo it now, but just wanted some more input on it. Dodgers sent Ethier and Withrow to Angels for Cowart and Dane de la rosa. Dodgers are currently 2 games over the dbacks for the NL west lead, and the angels are around 6 out of the al west lead. Ethier is hitting .300 with LAA now and all 3 Dodger outfielders (puig, kemp, Crawford) are hitting around the area of .270-.280 with respectable power and RBI numbers. Cowart is in AAA hitting around .250. What do you guys think? Was I right to let that trade go through? Would the dodgers do that while leading the West? Keep in mind this trade was several in game weeks ago and they are still leading the division several weeks after the trade. And does it make sense or LAA?

Angels are 6 games out of the AL West lead. How far off from the WC spots?

Ever since Puig emerged there's been talk of Dodger OF getting moved. The hottest rumors swirled around Ethier and I think it's correct that he's the one that moved in your franchise.

I consider the deal being fair. The Dodgers have backend options for their pen in Jansen, Wilson and Perez making Withrow expendable and he could work his way into the SU/CP mix with the Angels. De La Rosa is a filler at MRP for the Dodgers but a steady option.

Cowart gives the Dodgers some depth behind Uribe and more importantly a future after Uribe. Seager's still a couple of years away while Cowart is putting up respectable numbers in AAAAA like you said

Playing as the Phillies, I want to start a youth movement and trade Hamels + Lee. I know there's been talks about Lee on previous pages but I'm not sure if my version of Lee would be able to garner more since I believe the person who was posting had Lee not playing very good.

      Stats:

      Lee - 8-5 / 2.10 ERA / 110 K / 2.86 DIPS / .271 BIPA / 0.97 WHIP / .224 AVG / 7.71 K/9 in 128.1 IP

      Hamels - 7-5 / 2.38 ERA / 113 K / 2.65 DIPS / .282 BIPA / 1.03 WHIP / .227 AVG / 8.16 K/9 in 124.2 IP

The Lee to Dodgers deal that was suggested: Cliff Lee for Urias + Pederson + Lee/Reed
Not sure if I would be able to get more with how he's playing or not. The Dodgers are 7 GB of the West and leading the WC. Should I aim for this trade or the Blue Jays trade (They're leading the East by 7.5) of Aaron Sanchez + Roberto Osuna/Alberto Tirado + A.J. Jimenez + D.J. Davis

For Hamels is TEX a good destination for him? If possible I would like to move Hamels and Utley there for Andrus+. Would I be able to get Gallo as well?

Are you planning on having Andrus play SS or 2B?

SS short term because Rollins is hurt, but in '15 if I have Rollins still I'd play him at 2B

Yeah, because I was gonna say you have Crawford coming for SS.

Given their spot in the standings, I'd say Lee to Toronto is a nice fit. Getting a lefty ace could push them over the top.

Hamels to Texas could work but I'd ship him to Cali. He's a SD native if I'm not mistaken and he'd thrive in so-cal ;-). Either do Hamels for a prospect combo like the one that was mentioned for Lee or do a straight swap of big contracts - Hamels for Kemp

Wondering which trade you guys think is more realistic and what I would need to give up. (Note: I already traded 2B Walker to ATL for LHP Alex Wood at the deadline and I'd rather trade Starling Marte than Austin Meadows for budgeting purposes to resign the SP I trade for)
I think Marte, Nick Kingham, and Tony Sanchez is a fair deal. You could even sub Wyatt Mathisen in there if you want to overpay a little since it's to a division rival.

I do really like the idea of getting Kemp for Hamels because I don't want this to be a lengthy rebuild. You think I could get a Low B along with Kemp or just Kemp straight up?

Could we get a stat line on Kemp?

TBH I think a straight swap would be the best option. Maybe add a minor piece/role player going in each direction.

Buster Olney speculated on a Kemp for Hamels deal last year and I think it's a brilliant idea

                      Kemp is playing pretty poorly.

Avg. .237...OBP .324...SLUG .344 5 HRs 25 RBI. His ISO is lower than Carl Crawford (.147) too at .107

                      He's also played 84 of 93 games

Yeah that's pretty poor - I agree. If you were to acquire another player on the side, say a prospect along the lines of a low B, what position are you looking for?

SP or Mid IF. I see Dee has a Low B value on the spreadsheet would he fit?

Actually... Just platooning him against RHP... which explains the high batting average, but the big power numbers are pretty shocking.

I think a High B for both guys (or just Utley) and at least a MID B for Howard would be possible based on the way they're playing... you guys think that's ok?
