At this point, Rasmus and Cabrera are no longer members of the Blue Jays. Your argument against the trade is almost the same situation that brought Reyes to Toronto in the first place (broken down, huge contract).

Lawrie isn't exactly the picture of health himself. IRL his OBP is below .300, hasn't even attempted a steal, and his strikeouts are up. He's becoming less valuable as time goes on.

If I were the Dodgers I would never trade Kemp for Lawrie plus a A pot SP. I think the Dodgers are getting ripped off big time in that deal.

Well if you think LA is getting screwed, and AC thinks Toronto is getting screwed, maybe it's a half decent swap after all.

So now I need to move some players. Besides Trumbo and Cody Ross, my outfield has weak production. I need other player in the outfield to help while trumbo is gone, and i can afford to get rid of pitchers. I am about to call up Archie Bradley, to MLB so cant wait for that.

The Whitesox are getting a good year from Dayan Viciedo and they need other pitcher. So i am looking to give them a pitcher, and they still got Viciedo to replace De Aza. Simple 1 for 1 trade.

          White Sox Get

          SP Daniel Hudson

          Diamond Backs Get

          LF Alejandro De Aza
If not this trade what I am looking for is an outfielder. Trying to keep my top prospects so would Daniel Hudson, Wade Miley or Brandon Mcarthy work. Got a lack of any real good hitting prospects. So trying to fix this, was thinking the De Aza deal would not really help me that much. Would like to get a decent mid 20's early 30's age mid 70's to very early 80s rated current mlb hitter or a prospect. This is where i need help in trading, trying to make it fair. What team would benfit from Mcarthy, Wade Miley or Daniel Hudson? Would not mind a prospect but one who is ready soon not in 4 years

That helps, so the Jays would have interest in Kemp, besides Lawrie.

And no, I don't think we're getting screwed. But it's unrealistic. If OP doesn't care about realism, go for it, but the Jays aren't trading Lawrie.

Oh. Also. We don't have budget room for Kemp, period. We couldn't take him on if we wanted to. Our players had to differ salary just to sign Ervin Santana this year.

                Deal 1
                TOR Receives:
                SP James Shields, 88 B

                KC Receives:
                SP Aaron Sanchez, 74 A
                3B Mitch Nay, 63 B
                SP Daniel Norris, 54 B

                Deal 2
                BAL Receives:
SP Jeff Samardzija, 84 B (Edited)
                CHI Receives:
                SP Hunter Harvey, 65 A
                SP Mike Wright, 67 B

                Deal 3
                LAD Receives:
                SP Cliff Lee, 84 A
                PHI Receives:
                LF Joc Pederson, 74 B
                SP Zach Lee, 69 B
                SP Julio Urias, 69 A

                Spoiler
Only way LA even considers that deal is if they're sitting in a spot where they could potentially miss the playoffs completely. If they are well out of contention they wouldn't do that and if they are front runners in the division they only do it if they suffered a major injury to someone on the staff. It makes little sense to trade away two potential SP's and a really nice OF piece in Pederson for Lee otherwise.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Playing as the Orioles and my rotation is a crowded mess (but a good mess).

                  Got a 88 OVR RHP 11-3, 2.88 ERA
                  Chris Tillman 83 OVR 7-7 3.86 ERA
Kevin Gausman 81 OVR 1-1 4.06 ERA (injured most of year
                  Ubaldo Jimenez 79 OVr 10-4 2.93 ERA
                  Steve Johnson 79 OVR 7-2 3.54 ERA
Wei Yen Chen 79 ovr 5-6 4.45 ERA

Dylan Bundy (80 ovr) is still in AAA. I plan to call him up in a few weeks. Also have another A potential guy in AA but he won't be ready for another two years. Also several AAA guys in the 72-78 ovr range.

Chen is my only LHP, but he is also the only one struggling, so I am leaning towards moving him.

I am thinking of waiting until some teams enter "playoff push" mode and trading him for a good reliever (75+ overall) and a B (or high C) potential infielder who can play multiple positions.

                  Does that sound reasonable?

Just off the top of my head here are two ideas I thought of in my Blue Jays franchise.

                    Randall Delgado for Melky Cabrera.
                    Didi Gregorious for Colby Rasmus.

Imo, you should be looking to move Johnson for a prospect. He probably won't keep up that performance.

                      1. Tillman
                      2. Ubaldo
                      3. Gausman
                      4. Bundy
                      5. Chen

And if anything else comes up, you can move Chen to the BP.

Jays don't realistically trade Melky for a reliever or Colby for someone who, uh, isn't very valuable right now.

Colby to ARZ is a great fit though. A starter or 2B would fit. Colby for Prado, maybe?

But not only are his numbers good, but I like his pitch selections and his "feel". On the flip side I am not feeling Tillman. Originally my plan was to trade Jimenez near the deadline but he has been to valuable.

On top of the 5 guys you listed I have a 88 ovr computer generated RHP who I edited a wee bit lol (long story short I am sentimental with players from previous franchises). So that gives me 6 SP active with Bundy wasting in AAA.

I need bullpen help and a prospect that can replace Cuddyer as Mr. Versatility possibly as soon as next season. Could Johnson land me that? The position player need not be anything special, just able to give multiple guys days off while not losing too much productivity.

Sidenote: It was a mistake trading for Joe Smith when I have Darren O'Day. oops lol

How feasible would it be that the Cubs trade Barney to the Cards? I'm playing as the Cards and would love to slot him in at SS for his glove. My bats are holding up that I can put up with a .230-.250 BA. Figure it would open up a spot at 2B for Baez for the Cubbies while also netting them another prospect.

I'm just not sure how Cub fans would react?

No Cubs fan would be upset with Barney being traded for a sack of potatoes, much less an actual prospect. But looking for a .230-.250 BA out of him might be too much
