Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
While the cpu/cpu trades are often head scratchers, there was actually a good one that just went down in my Cubs Franchise. July 5,The Padres 4gb traded Fried SP(b), Wisler SP(b) & Heges C(a) to the Phillies for Cole Hamels. The Phillies are 17 gb.Playstation Network:That70s_Gamer

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm at the end of June with the Padres and a little under .500 for the year. I'd like to make a push and our main weakness is against RH pitching. As a team I think we're hitting around .230 vs. righties. I'm looking to possibly acquire Josh Hamilton, who has put up a .251/.316/.393 line in 275 AB with 9 HRs, 27 BBs, and 55 Ks. Hamilton is owed about 37 million over the next three years (including 2015) which is more than I can afford, so I'd need the Angels to eat part of his salary (which I'd do by editing his ratings, releasing him, then signing him as the Padres). Would 3 Mid B's and 1 Low B be enough for Hamilton at a reduced salary?Comment

With a SLG under .400, I don't think you'd even need to give that lol. 1 Mid B and a lottery ticket kinda guy (high C in single A or something) should be more than enough, assuming the Angels are eating like half his salary."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Alright, one more question. Also at the end of June with the A's (I generally play with 2 teams in each franchise). I'd like to get Domonic Brown from the Phillies, he's put up a .237/.301/.460 line with 15 HR, 24 BB, and 53 K. The Phillies are in rebuilding mode and Amaro must be the GM in my franchise as well, as they inexplicably signed Alfonso Soriano (yes, that Alfonso Soriano) to a 3 year, $35 million contract. He's predictably put up a .142/.139/.171 line in 35 AB (yes, his average is higher than his OBP). I have some budget room and could take on his salary, so what would I have to give up for Brown if I took on Soriano as well? Brown's actual ratings are pretty solid, maybe a Mid B and High C?Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hopefully they improved on the trade AI in 15. At the all star break in my Cubs franchise, Yankees, tied for first, trade A Rod, who's hitting over .300 with 15 hrs to Detroit for a double A relief pitcher who is a High A.Playstation Network:That70s_Gamer

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Beginning of May in my Red Sox chise, and I'm looking to shore up left field. I was interested in Cleveland's Michael Brantley and was considering making the center piece A overall SP prospect anthony ranaudo (70 overall). Both players are performing as expected.
Would Cleveland be interested in moving him for the right prospects and what's a fair offer. I could add JBJ or another piece. I also like their center field spec Tyler Naquin (63 overall B pot with a great arm)Comment

On a side note Ranaudo should be no where near an A potential. I'm not sure if you're changing potentials, but he probably shouldn't be over an 82 or so (and that's probably too high).Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ranaudo definitely isn't worthy of a headliner in a Brantley deal. He is a great player on a great contract. I don't think they would even consider it without Swihart, or Betts, but you might be able to come up with a package around Owens. Realism wise I don't think Cleveland would have any interest in trading Brantley, but there might be a fair deal there if you're willing to move your top young talent.

Thanks I appreciate the response. I'm using osfm v2.0 rosters, but will just undersell him when I do a trade.
Maybe I'll have to set my sights on a more attainable player...Alejandro de aza from the white sox?Comment

I like the idea of picking him up in place of Gomes and maybe resigning him next year for cheapComment
