I'm willing to overpay here, would a package of Pineda, Murphy, and Williams/Heathcott get it done?

I think it's entirely dependent on what they got back.

But my second point is bigger than that. Tampa has the highest payroll they've ever given out ($112m). I don't think they want to add $13m of that for a player like Uggla.

            Cam is right

Tampa never ever ever trades for an expensive sunk cost

                That's an extreme overpay haha

Oops, was looking at Atlanta's, my apologies. Still, Tampa wouldn't do it.

From a value standpoint I think you could a whole lot better than Jared Cosart for that type of haul.

I see, I just thought of teams of the top off my head lacking punch in their lineup and/or at 2B. Didn't really factor in payrolls, etc.

I just want to make sure it's realistic, not just fair.

I personally don't think its realistic giving up that much for Cosart. Make them throw in Chris Carter, lol.

Even that's too much. Cosart had an ERA that lied (what else is new), and didn't show his true colors in the majors. His 1.95, was met with a 4.35 FIP, and 111 xFIP-. Not too valuable.
