Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I have a few different deals in mind for SP. I'm tearing the team down and I'll get some in return. And the SP I'll probably get are all a lot better than Biddle lol."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Out of curiosity, what deals are you thinking about for Bautista? One of my favorite players, I've always wondered what his trade value would be.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I think the Dodgers and Royals make the most sense. The Dodgers are willing to do anything to win now, so they would give up future value. Royals have an obvious need in CF. Would the Reds really trade 5+ years of Cingrani for 1 year of Rasmus, with Hamilton having to go back to AAA?

Gotcha, that makes sense. I was actually thinking Rasmus might be a good fit in TEX if Martin is struggling, but he has started out hitting well this year. Not a lot of contending teams need a CF right now. Maybe wait til the deadline, there are bound to be some injuries and players struggling at that point.Comment

Ok guys I'm looking at some deals for future reference.
1. I would like to trade Cervelli to a team in need of a decent catcher. In return I would like a MLB/AAA infielder. I was thinking the partners could be the White Sox.
2. I would like to acquire Owings from AZ. What would I need to give up? Sanchez?
Edit: I would prefer to do the second one as opposed to the first. I only plan on doing one. If I do the Owings one, then I still plan on trading Cervelli but just for a reliever.

Hmm.. I`m not sure if Sanchez is enough or too much for Owings.. I`m going to go with my gut and say yes, do it. Yankees desperately need young infield talent. But, you may need to add something else, as Arizona loves himLast edited by Cubs1984Nostaglia; 04-20-2014, 04:34 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yeah I was thinking they are a good fit, as AZ doesn't have any catching prospects with Trahan moving to the outfield. I just don't know if it should be a 1 for 1.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So nobody has any ideas on young-ish starting pitching I could think about acquiring for the Cubs with Arimendy Alcantara and/or Dan Vogelbach? Someone like Jarrod Parker (not him, cause obviously Tommy John).. Just one of those young pitchers or even pitching prospects?Comment

As far as realism is concerned, young pitching is hard to acquire. Here are a few names I can think of:
Rick Porcello
Maybe Brandon Maurer
Brett Oberholtzer
Wily Peralta

Yeah I have a feeling it cant be 1 for 1.
You might have to include some other prospects like Aaron Judge or Tyler Austin, but I`m just spitballinComment

2. Sanchez >> Owings. For Owings... hm. Manny Banuelos? Didi Gregious could fit you too, though. D-Backs don't need a C btw. Miguel Montero.
Alcantra for Lance Lynn could work if the Cubs and Cards don't hate each other too much."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yeah, I may be out of luck there, none of those guys are getting moved. I`m going to take a hard look at the Mets and scout them throughout the season, as they`re loaded with young pitching and need shortstop (Alcantara) and first base (Vogelbach) talentComment
