Hey guys, long time reader, first time poster. In my Marlins 'Chise im looking to trade Christian Yelich and was wondering what you guys think would be a realistic deal for him. Im looking for another OF and a SS prospect that i can develop in the minors while Willie Bloomquist mans short for me in the short term. Thanks for the help in advance.

I'm sure pretty much every team in the league would be interested in Yelich.
Yelich to Boston for an OF filler like Nava, Marrero at SS plus something else minor could work.
Yelich to Seattle for an OF'er like Saunders/Ackley, Chris Taylor at SS plus something else minor is another possibilityFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
There is a column in the spreadsheet that has special notes such as "not realistic, just signed a contract extension" or "c'mon son" that help clue people in on players that aren't likely to be obtained realistically. However, a true sense of realism has to take into account several factors:
1. Who the player is and what the team's current philosophy is (rebuild/contend/cheapskate)
2. Need (again this relates to rebuild vs contend) and how much prospect depth is at a given position.
3. Contract status (cheaper players are harder to get, bigger contracts are tougher to move)
4. Stats (how is the player, aside from his name value, actually performing?)
That's why this thread can be really helpful. There have been many fruitful debates on if it would be realistic to move player X and a range of opinions will usually appear. But, there is no strict "calculation" for realism as there is for fairness.

99% of the time I reject the CPU on CPU crime, in the rare occasion where it isn't total crap, I tweak the deal. Also, keep an eye the CPU-CPU trade after the deadline, it remains just as foolish.#HellaBandz

Don't think that's enough. Doubt the Cubs move Edwards at all.
Baez would be in it. Voggy could be also. Lake and BJax have little value. I think you'd be looking at Baez + Soler + Pierce Johnson + Voggy + Sczcur/Candelario as a bare minimum. It's also unlikely that TB deals both Zobrist and Price to the same team as a package when they can likely get more in 2 separate deals with different clubs.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Based on the fact that Yankees love to have a team full of vets IF the philles were to dangle Ryan Howard infront of them do you think they would bite ? The Yankees are 5gb for the wild card and there offense hasnt been good. Howard can help in that little ball parkComment

It's a fit with Howard in Yankee Stadium and the short porch in RF. If everyone's healthy though, I'm having a hard time seeing the Yankees pull off a trade for himFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.
