Do you guys think a .290/1/32 Ben Revere could be realistically had for the Red Sox? It's July 22 in-game (keeping real-life pace), and the Phils are out of it. I need a serious left-handed bat, as Gomes isn't cutting it against righties.
In the game Revere is severely overrated in my opinion. I use OSFM and his fielding and arm are way too high. If you actually watch Revere play CF he is terrible, he takes bad routes and angles to balls and has a terrible arm. He makes up for some of this with his speed but he's probably better suited to play left field.

Anyway... in the game I wouldn't trade him in my Phillies franchise because he consistently hits around .290 with 50+ steals which is useful. He's also under team control for pretty cheap for the next few years. I would try and trade for someone else with a similar skill set like Bonifacio if he's performing ok.

      Hey guys, quick trade question:

I'm in the 3rd year of my Giants franchise. My CF, Angel Pagan, is 34 and in his final contract year. He's also been slumping, with a .220 or so average, so I don't think I'll be picking up his contract (for 2.4m or so)

So that leads me in need of a CF.

I have a stud SP named Jorge Huerta I drafted first year (Age 20, 72 rating, A+ potential), that the Cardinals want DESPERATELY.

They will give me Michael Wacha with either Peter Bourjos or Jon Jay.

I feel this trade is good enough for Wacha alone, but they're willing to give a CF (which is what I really want anyway) andBourjos and Jay are so close I can't decide (almost identical contracts too)

Jon Jay or Peter Bourjos to replace CF Angel Pagan in his final year?

If you want realism the Cards wouldn't trade Wacha except maybe in a deal for Price, and even then I bet he wouldn't be the one they'd include in a package. I don't think they would trade Wacha for a pitching prospect.

If you don't care about realism but want the trade to be fair, I think you'd have to add more to one prospect to get Wacha.

Well, they have Wacha on the trading block, which is how I discovered the trade viability. So apparently they have been looking to move him for awhile.

Bourjos or jay is really just icing on the cake.

I'm not too terribly concerned with being "fair" to the CPU, I've offered other enticing packages to tempt various teams, and they've been turned down. But as silly as it is, they desperately want to get their hands on this super prospect and his 100k/year contract lol.

So just trying to decide between Jay and Bourjos, but leaning towards Bourjos right now...

Trade block and CPU trading is a joke, as it has been said now over 300 times in this thread, the logic is broken.

If you want fair and realistic trades, then that's what this thread and the spreadsheet was created for. Unless Wacha's #'s are horrible in 3 years into your franchise, my guess is the real Wacha by this time would be considered to be one of the Top-5 pitchers in the game (think Hernandez, Price, Kershaw, Wainswright, ect) which would net more then just 1 stud pitching. prospect.

If it was me, I would just look to see what it would cost to get Bourjas or Jay (Low B prospect or a High C and Mid C) and keep your stud SP prospect for your own rotation.

The Cardinals see Wacha as their future ace and wouldn't trade him even for Price. I'm not saying he's as valuable as Trout or Harper, but like them he's not going anywhere anytime soon.

I agree with this. In terms of Jay or Bourjos it's all about defense vs. offense. Jay in game will get you a .280 + average with little power and not so great defense, while Bourjos gives you phenomenal defense with good speed and a not so great bat.

In my chise, I accidentally turned off CPU trading, but I would like to see some action. The Rangers just lost their right fielder and Andre Ethier is being shopped by the dodgers. Realistically, is there a trade possible for the two teams? With CPU trading off, all rosters are virtually the same as the 2014 roster.

                  Thanks in advance!

Headley value now established by the smart...er, guys that get paid to do this. Solarte and DePaula (late teen ranking in NYY farm). Plus, SD gave $1mm. I think it's a win for SD but am curious to see what Yankees fans think.

Spreadsheet creators, do you guys adjust to actual trades or try to keep value based on game ratings?

                      So that's a low B and a high C.

                      Hmm.
