I haven't made it far enough this season to confirm this but, last season you could only see the transaction history during the offseason. Don't ask me why. And yes, it did bother me a great deal and still does (assuming that's still the case).

Just got called up to AAA after that blistering first month I had on May 7th. Maybe it's just me but I wished I would have stayed in AA and finish out the year. But alas I killed the first month so let's see how I'll fare in AAA.

I'm going to purchase my PS4/MLB14TS tomorrow. I have a couple of questions as this is my first time playing the show and I'm a 360 user. Big baseball guy though.

1. Can you use custom OS rosters in RTTS game mode, or is that only a franchise thing?

2. What is the heaviest you can make your player? I want to make a fat 1B slugger. lol!

1. Yep you can. That's why I created a new SP instead of continuing my old one from PS3.

2. No idea lol

Getting the hang of the majors now. I just ended a game by gunning down the tying run at home, the crowd went ballistic. In the game I also hit a clutch double in the 8th and came around to score to tie on the next hit. I love The Show.

Yes you can bring the OS roster into RTTS.
As for your second question, can't help you there because idk

I have a 2B/SS an SP and a CP. idk why the Astros drafted my CP #1 when thier CP is like an 88 ovr and like 26 years old. Is it possible as a CP to get called up to the majors as an RP to start and then move into the closing role or are you automatically given the closer role?

i love playing 2B i get to pick off runners trying to steal 2nd base and convert double plays. Starting Pitcher is fun too and i like the thrill of CP coming in with the game on the line. I tired playing OF, to me it's super boring. 2B or SS is my favs. I might switch my 2B to shortstop once i get my throwing str and acc up. I have to ask coach in order to move to SS.

I actually did something last night on my RTTS player that is Extremely Rare for me.I hit for the Cycle! Single, 2 doubles, Triple and a Homerun.I am using Dynamic difficulty and it was up to either Veteran or Veteran + level. I am doing well but am not killing it as I went into a slump the next few games after it happened. My only complaint so far, playing as a first baseman is that sometimes he doesn't seem to want to get where he needs to be to receive the throw for the other fielders. I find this happens more often when he is holding runners close. When the ball is hit he is just a few steps off the bag (but not close enough to receive the throw) and when I tap the stick in the direction of the base he overruns it.

I also made a new player. A CF and put his speed as high as I could. This gives him 90 for speed. And stealing of 65 (I think, maybe 60). Anyways. I noticed the speed only affects fielding. It had no affect on base running what so ever. He ran just as slow as my 40 rated 3B. 50 point difference, still ran just as slow. Maybe there is more to it than that, but I didn't like that so I deleted the save and went back to my 3B. I figured with such a high rating you notice the animation being faster. Or getting to the plate closer to the throw, but I noticed nothing different.

Did you raise Baserunning Ability? That is what makes you get a good jump and reach full speed earlier. Having 99 Speed and 40 Baserunning Ability will probably get you caught stealing 50% of the time. My CF currently has 93 Speed and 85 Baserunning Ability and he has 15 steals in 17 attempts.

I have literally played EVERY position except pitcher in RTTS in Showcase and I always get picked by the White Sox. This ruins the mode for me because it's not realistic to always get taken in the 1st round 3rd pick by the SAME team.

Do I just need to purposely suck so I get picked in the 2nd or 3rd rounds so I can atleast get picked by a different team than the White Sox?

I would say that's an odd coincidence, if you hadn't tried every position. Sounds like the White Sox have needs at every position, haha. Having said that, I made a Right Fielder and was drafted in the first round by the Indians. And the Pitcher I made was drafted by the Giants in the 6th round, hurray for sucking in the showcase!

Does anybody have any base stealing tips? I am 2/2 with my speedy CF, but I always get the "bad jump" notification. Any tips on the timing? I find it hard to be too aggressive with as frequent as the CPU tries to pick you off.

Few tips I've found:
1. Leaning helps your jump quite a bit.
2. You don't need to take an extra lead to steal 2nd (you do to steal 3rd)
3. Hold R1 to lean out and keep left on the stick. Your player will move back on first movement of a pickoff and usually be safe, even when leaning.
4. On getting a good jump: watch the catcher, not the pitcher. Some pitchers' windup animations start slightly before they move. If the catcher "bounces" into his crouch, you know the pitcher is going home with it.
5. Soon as you see the catcher bounce, take off, and look at the pitcher. If the pitcher slide-steps, go back to the bag, as you'll usually be out. If the pitcher does his normal stretch, keep going.
6. Always slide head-first to the right of the bag. Sliding headfirst straight on will get you there faster, but going to the right of the bag helps avoid the sweep tag. If you get a good enough jump you can slide headfirst straight on, which will make it easier for you to advance in case of a wild throw.

On a kind of related note, if one of your teammates is taking a big lead at second and you see the 2B or SS sneaking behind them for a pickoff, there's a small timing window where you can call timeout at the plate to keep the pitcher from picking them off.

Yeah, I realized that this is the case when I simmed to the off season. Problem with that is it only shows transactions for the past couple of months, so there is no way to know what happened before that. Very disappointing

The fact that you can adjust gameplay sliders for the RTTS mode is literally a gift from God.

I mostly play NBA games as that's my favorite sport but this game looked too good to pass up. In NBA 2K14 you can't adjust sliders in the MyCareer mode and it was so frustrating.

I'm very thankful for this. I would like to be able to choose jersey options though.
