It's impossible for me in Western Canada to think about getting this game early (by the way it's a good thing there are no real world baseball teams here, it's F###### snowing outside today ... again). Yes it's impossible to get the game early in Calgary AB. There are no mom and pop operations and the big box retailers only carry a few copies of MLB 14 for the PS3. My best source for the game is EBGames and a funny thing at EBGames, depending on who you talk to at their various stores. Some of the guys working there know the good reputation of the MLB The Show series and some of the others guys never heard of it. I went into an EBGames shop the other day just to make sure I could trade up my MLB 14 PS3 copy for the PS4 for the advertized $20 fee and the dude looked at me with a puzzled look "MLB The Show, never heard of it" (despite the MLB 14 The Show boxes on the counter with "Trade Me" stickers on them) and it took him several minutes to look it up in the computer to confirm the $20 trade up deal was in effect.

No I must exercise patience here and wait for Tuesday. At least I still have my PS3 copy to play a couple more games with this weekend while I wait. I am 31 games into my 162 game season (will be 34 by the time Tuesday rolls around). Baseball is a marathon, not a sprint. I think I can wait the three more days. I just hope the PS3 season upload to the PSN cloud and the PS4 download from the cloud goes smooth and I can play my 35th game on my new PS4 console Tuesday evening when I get home from work.

Drove over an hour to get it but I got it! Last copy the store had too!

Out there in the world, there is some poor sod who drove 2 hours to get to the store only to see you at the cash register buying the last copy.

Ha, I tried Wal-Mart only because I had to walk in there to get something else. Actually had the copy in my hand, and had a sales associate who was trying to override the system, no luck.

Oh well, it's 75 and sunny, there's some early morning surf, and it's a great day of sports ahead, life could be worse.

I'll hold out till Tuesday.

Oh man, worst story ever. So I'm in Fairfield County CT (Norwalk, Stamford Area). I know of a Mom and Pop store that sold it, and I tried to go last night after work (probably a 30 min. drive). I get on the highway and the traffic is so bad, I decide to wait till this morning.

Now, I had an unopened copy of Titanfall I needed to return to a big box store that is literally walking distance from my house. I decided to go to the Bronx first, then to the big box store afterwards. Went to Bronx, got my copy, came back and stopped at big box store to return my Titanfall.

Noticed they had PS4 MLB the Show on the shelf. Told the salesperson I want it, she rang it up and stopped (warning on screen). She called Manager over, he looked and put in some code and they sold it to me. He said something about the code being because the game is not supposed to be out yet but the girl said it was on the shelf which is why I think they sold it.

So, now I have 2 copies, one unopened with receipt if anyone wants to meet me in Norwalk CT. I will sell for best offer, and would like above cost since I paid some gas and toll money to get the copy in the Bronx. I am considering the copy I got in the Bronx to be the one I'm selling. PM me if you're a CT person looking and don't want to go into NYC.

Just got home from my local Wal-mart (N. Florida area) and they had the PS4 version in the display case. Got the associate to get a copy, proceeded to the register to pay only to be told they couldn't sell it to me because it wasn't allowed to be sold until the 6th. The associate then went back to the display case and pulled all PS4 copies out and took them to the back. Oh well, I still have my Amazon order, it'll be here Tuesday. So close and yet so far away, lol...

I would have made a fuss since they had the game on the shelf.

Yeah, I mean I played dumb to begin with, then tried to say well, just scan the PS3 code since it's the same price. No dice, I'm not going to make a fuss, they are just doing their job.

Got it!!! Got all my setting set, but I'm not playing until after Yanks game. Taking me a bit to get used to the menus, gotta memorize a whole new menu system.
