I loved that Andy Pettite took it so he could recover and get back to his job. Baseball turned a blind eye when Mc and Sammy saved the game with roids.

It was only when Bonds became jealous and started taking it too. Then he became superman. God imagine if he took it during his early part of his career. He would have been in the 80-80 club. How fun would that have been to watch. Bonds was just obnoxious and made the game look soooo easy. He was close to doing that already before juice…with juice…OMG.

I miss the Steroid Era…I should make that a bumper sticker

Imagine if Ken Griffey Jr. or Frank Thomas juiced up. The home run record would be 100 in a season. Ken Griffey would have had 800 career homers.

Plus if Griffey would juiced, he wouldn't have gotten hurt so much and would have healed much faster from his injuries.

I certainly don't miss the steroid era. Guys that I couldn't stand, Bonds-Mcguire-Sosa why would I want them hitting homeruns. Plus it spat in the face of a true MVP like Frank Thomas.

I don't need 60-70 homeruns for me to enjoy baseball. I'll take a 1-0 just the same.

lol...that is great point. Although...i don't think it would have mattered with him. Because he never seemed to get old or injured. But great point. Imagine how many 100 SB seasons he would have had. Actually, he would have had fewer....he would have been like a 40-70 guy easy. He might have actually been "The Greatest" if he juiced up.

It doesn't spit in the face of Thomas. He was a great player...if he did roids would he have been greater...probably.

Best use of roids is injury recovery and slowing aging. Thomas would not have needed it for strength...but it would have given him more prime years.

agreed...I loved seeing Roger throw that kind of game on juice. Listen...its not about juice. Its about seeing the best possible players compete. Roids makes guys play their best. Whether its steals, homers, or whatever
