I'm watching the White Sox vs Astros on WGN right now and Jason Castro hit a 3 run homer and the Train didn't move or blow the horn, so there's that.

That's interesting, wonder when the train stopped moving lol

I use auto field positioning and on a number of occasions it seems when the ai changes the field it doesn't reset, i have had 1b protecting the bag with no one on, the field shifted right after the batter it was set for was out.
One game i had 3 balls drop between my fielders and the wall. at first i thought it was great as i hadn't seen it happen to often,after the 3rd time i checked my field and the outfield was all the way in.

Has anyone else had any problems , is it a known issue or it could be correct as i don't know the finer details of the game, setting the field ect.

Edit: pulled out the network cable out and it works again.

Has anyone ever seen a pinch hitter called upon in RTTS? Im a few weeks into my first AA season with the Twins organisation and I still haven't seen our manager or the opposing manager call on a pinch hitter.

Sidenote: I made a third basemen and he was drafted to the Twins; probably the one organisation who has the most young talent at 3B.

If you're getting the black screen after it starts up just wait a minute and it will be fine. Had it happen to me 2 times.

Good idea. What stats do you look at to gauge who is best to run on, and what thresholds do you look for (like if the catchers arm is below x).

Also any tips for stealing 3rd? I have a guy who is 75 speed but maybe that's not enough because I haven't managed to steal 3rd yet.

I have managed to steal 3rd with Will Venable and Everth Cabrera on multiple occasions when I was using the Padres. I have no one in the Orioles I would even try with.

I've been trying to get the most out of true fielding in all situations in the game but the only thing I've not been able to master is how to hold a runner on base from a groundball by looking at them with a fake throw and then throw the batter out at 1st without the runner on 2nd advancing to 3rd. I am using buttons for throwing and I have Throw meter on.

The catch position indicator (Blue circle) is gone because the dynamic ball marker made it obsolete and pointless.

The game defaults to classic button setup I'm not sure what issue you are having.

So this game defaults to classic I'm starting to think is a lie. I have gone through every single setting and no matter what I do whenever I play this years version square is a throw to first base. Some people may find this a small thing but it makes the game unplayable for me. Could you or someone be kind enough to post a screen cap or some directions on where I need to go to change this?

Does anyone know how I can check the attributes of a particular player while in game for RTTS? For example, I would like to check and see how strong a pickoff move a pitcher has, and how strong of an arm the catcher has - to give me an idea of whether I can steal. I don't know the players in real life that well so being able to access their stats during the game would be great.

Is there a way to do that?

If I'm understanding your question correctly - yes. This just happened to me today. I am playing RTTS for the Orioles, shortstop. Just was called up about 20 games ago. When I hit the option to Play next game it started in the top of the 7th and said I was being called on to pinch hit. We were up 6 to 3 at the time. I stepped in and hit a 2 run dinger, my first in the majors. Awesome.

Is there any way to keep track of league transactions in RTTS or is that stuff just going on in the background without any way of knowing?

Not sure what mode you mean but default for exhibition games is o-1st triangle-2nd ect. and i dont think the buttons can be changed.

For RTTS square is 1st x is 2nd ect. and is default to change it to classic(like exhibition games) you need to do it in Mode Specific options , fielder to classic.

Had my auto def field settings set to double play even though there were no runners on, noticing the field doesn't reset more often now.

Does playing franchise with 30 team control disable the bottom line scores in game? I never have a bottom line (ticker) when I ply franchise games
