well, my hype is now simmered down a bit. It seems as though its going to be like fifa 14 was from ps3 vs. ps4 (I owned both) and that is subtle differences at best. Oh well. I have a ps4 now, so I will buy the show this year and enjoy it...but I will really be looking forward to next year when it will be in SCEA best interest to pour more resources into the ps4 version, and let the ps3 version become second priority. A year of full development, plus the higher priority of the current gen should make for a great mlb 15. I know this years game will be good. and probably score around a 8.0 on Operation Sports, but ya, no WOW factor...like wow! stadium animations (roofs and such) or wow! new in-game cuts to other games hightlights (ala NFL 2k5) or even WOW WOW look at those graphics. not bitching, just trolling the impressions thread and this has become self evident. Still Cant wait to start my chise tho!

Having said that I am still 100% sure I am still going to love MLB 14 The Show on PS4 even though it is just the first year on the system. It's been almost 9 full months since I have played MLB 13 The Show and I just can not wait to start playing the greatest baseball video game again next weekComment

This is a funny comment because I've played every sports game on PS4 and anyone who actually believes gameplay comes first knows that FIFA is the most "next gen" sports game out there in terms of actually feeling like a brand new game while playing and not watching replays or looking at pictures..Comment

I too am a little dissapointed at the lighting for Busch. The field lighting looks fantastic....but its almost like the light towers in the outfield are turned off and the crowd is in a movie theater lol.Go Cardinals

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
Maybe SCEA developers should team up with 2k and learn how to get most out of system (SCEA had more lead time for this game)? 2 minute load times, if true, is inexplicable with such an advanced system. Cutting out features last minute, poor lighting, no retractable roofs, no numbers on backs of players, missing uniforms, blocky players, etc is frankly shocking at this stage of development. Heck, and this one is the worst of them all, SCEA still hasn't figured out how to make a guy cut off a thrown ball in flight. That's like not being able to call an audible in football. How is that possible after all these years? I love the game and am getting PS4 version but 15 needs to be a major upgrade. No more excuses...Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
FIFA 14 NG wowed me too. Not so much in the graphical sense, but the general feel of the game; the sense of momentum, the new animations, the improved A.I. There's no way I could go back to playing last-gen FIFA after that.www.heyimbill.com | sports poster art and other cool stuffComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
I agree with you and bayman on this one. I was highly impressed with FIFA 14 on PS4. Even the graphics were extremely good to me. If you do a direct comparison, they don't even compare on any level. I feel like they also got the look of grass just about dead on (as far as color goes).Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
Yes, because the first thing I'm looking at is how AI players are moving and not whether it has cloth physics. And on top of that the amazing dynamic crowd in FIFA is more immersive than any bells and whistles that NBA has.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
I'm not expecting that wow factor until the end of next year at the earliest. I can pick up any title today and say.. yes, this feels next-gen. I'm happy with that. It's not 1 step forward, 2 steps back like the release of last gen; it's a solid step forward. In 2-3 years, if I'm not saying WOW THIS IS WHAT NEXT-GEN IS ABOUT!, then I will be disappointed.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
I just signed up to ask this question what is a deal breaker to me if it is true, so the Ign video of the loading time's is in the final build? I can't stand long loading times when there is no reason for it esp that long, might cancel the pre-order and wait for next year thenComment
