Just as we just saw they come on FORUMS and answer stuff for us gamers, something most developers or in this case community managers don't do...

That's not necessarily true. Most companies have PR reps who are registered to their site's official forums, sometimes developers.

Now, there's a big difference between that and head game developers asking for feedback and suggestions on a third-party site. SCEA San Diego definitely goes above and beyond for us, and they are commended for it.

What's not true? Do you work with brands, and copyright lawyers? (Serious question) It's not changing for copy right infringement issues. I don't know why it's so hard for some of you to understand this.

because you are "infringing" on other copyrights in the game. thats why its so hard to believe. I dont work with copyright lawyers anymore than you do, but I and most of the people on this board have the common sense to know when we see something that is an "infringement" in one stadium and then are told that something is missing from another stadium because "infringements" cant be in the game its an insult to our intelligence. You can either use "infringements" or you cant, its an umbrella, its not a stadium to stadium thing. Unless you called up the president of chick fila and asked to use the cow and he said if you do Ill sue you. If thats the case THEN SAY THAT! dont just say "we cant, bye" being honest with people will go a long way with what you can and cant do.

I've heard some ridiculous things over the years but to say the devs get paid to sit here and post on a message board is literally one of the worst.


No, they get paid to develop the game you love. Visiting this site is something they do on their own time.

so the posts they make in the middle of the work day when they are at work on the clock, they are not getting paid for? sure thing.

and for the record I dont love the game, I like it, it has a long long lonnnggggg way to go before I will ever love it.

The sense of entitlement of some people is just ridiculous. If that cow is that big of a deal to someone, just don't buy the game. Simple as that. No one is owed an explanation any more than they are forced to purchase the game.

If you re-read what I posted you would see I said "once you are off work, post what you want". Again its common sense, I know they come here when they want on their free time, but the times they are at work getting paid when they are posting they should at least be giving the information their customers want to know.

When you get a little older you will realize how salary jobs work.


I assure you, they do not get paid to post on OS. They get paid to make the game.


I get paid to do my job. I work well over 8 hours on a daily basis.

Occasionally, I will visit ESPN during the day, that is not what I'm getting paid for.


No different with the only exception being they are actually working while not working.

I am the same age as you, been working at least or more years than you bud. You may visit the ESPN site at work, but you are not working for ESPN interacting with your customers. HUGE, HUGE difference there.

Just as you cant step back and be objective that there ARE things wrong in this game, but all you do is cover the devs a** whether they are right or wrong. I have a realistic attitude that this game needs work and we are not always told the truth. Im not a "zomg" fanboy.

Part of their job is customer service ie being on OS to interact with their customers.
