The number of doubles in total may be accurate, but within that there seem to be fewer 2B via ground balls down the lines and over OF's head than what occurs in the MLB. Almost all of my doubles occur via the gap.

This is just based on anecdotal evidence, but I've only seen a few ground balls/choppers that get into the corners. But they occur pretty often in the MLB.

I want some fly balls that are over the outfielder's where they pull up and play the one hop off of the wall, or slow up near the warning track. Not everyone should be Jim Edmonds out there making the over the head grabs and covering more ground than a cheetah.
? I dont think you understand what I am saying, isee balls go over the ourfielders head and they DON'T track them down, they drop for doubles.

Perhaps I need to try out your settings.

Does anyone know how to get the fielding cam to zoom in or be lower on those outfield plays? I'm struggling with the cameras.

The hit variety in MLB 14 is all time best, by far. The range of "poor" hits that the game generates has had a lot to be desired, but it has made a significant stride toward excellent ball physics.

I've seen a fair amount of over the head liners. Probably it is true that outfielders are still faster compared to real-life, but overall it plays a very well-balanced game. Fielding has become so much better that it's one of my most favorite improvements this year.

Not to say it's perfect, but further improvements probably require quite a bit more thoughts into how the game should make it happen. For one, I don't necessarily think it's the overall speed of fielders that are way off right now. I think it is how CPU can position itself near perfectly, and how he can run consistently at a constant speed no matter how difficult a route the fielder *should* be taking approaching the ball.

That kind of thing will need a fair amount of new logic that would keep Woodweaver very busy for a while.......

This game is so smooth and fine tuned, it's nuts! I have the PS3 version still for several more hours... but to me the outfielders are perfectly balanced between making amazing plays, and downright frustrating flubs. I should say fielders in general. I noticed in the infield, it's tougher than usual to throw out runners at first. If you fail to pre-load the throw, the runner is at an advantage! No longer are double plays so easy. Also user initiated diving seems better, I actually have made several of my own web gems.
