I'm number 2 in line with Live Chat. Going to see if they have any updates or if I can get a refund to my PSN Wallet. I will let you all know if I have any luck. I'm not expecting much but you never know.

However, I am currently getting transferred to be refunded. Looks like I'll be able to cancel the order because of the delay. Also, someone in another forum made a good point. The Gamestop download code is supposed to be for 10:00 am EST, I wonder if it will be ready by then?

Posters on the PS forums are reporting conversations with chat operators. Apparently they had to update their servers and they say the game will be released as soon as the maintenance is finished. No eta, I read one guy said within a couple hours but pretty vague.

I feel bad for all you guys having problems but it's the exact reason that a digital gaming future scares me.

Until MS and more so SONY can show they have the infrastructure for this then I will always buy hard copies.

My advice for future. Go to bed at midnight, get a good nights sleep. Wake up and go and get your copy from a store at 9am.

I'm a System Administrator/Network Engineer and understand the delicacies of updating servers and such. However, this is something that should have been tested out prior to May 6th. The thing I can't stand is waiting to the last minute to do something in hopes that everything will go ok. Prior planning would have likely prevented this issue.

wait they chose to update their servers the day only ONE PS4 game is released?? rather then update the servers like a day before/? Oh please!! who the hell is the head management there?? thank god I do my job the right way or id be fired


and sorry how could we believe this chat stuff?? someone posted a chat 7 hours ago claiming their exuse was that it was PST .. now new chat says its server updates. can't believe a thing Sony says now.

I think Sony should have released that 1.70 firmware update sooner, so The Show could be added as one of the games with pre-load capabilities.

While this is frustrating, it's not exactly new.

Sony's schedule for updates to the PSN seems to be tuesdays. It just doesn't make sense that they didn't have the foresight to give us an alternative to having to potentially wait this long if we already had it pre-ordered tho.
