I am 36-24 however I decided to start selling. Can't remember all the names I acquired

Samardzja to Baltimore for Steve Johnson an A and B prospect

Castro to the Yankees for Gary Sanchez and 2 more B prospects

Veras to MN for swarzack (they are in first and needed an arm in the bullpen)

Barney to Toronto for Matt Boyd

Sweeney and wright to the dodgers for 2 C rated prospects

Jackson to KC for a C rated prospect

Hammel to Colorado for a Two C rated prospect

I have called up Baez, Bryant, and soler a couple other hitting prospects and a few pitching prospects

Strop is taking over as closer he blew his first attempt

Baez has 2 homers, 5 RBI, 4 steals in 5 games

4-0 in May, but the win in Tampa was costly. Nick Markakis broke his forearm. Rather promote Nolan Reimold I signed Vernon Wells he has the better defense. If his bat fails I can get Nolan from Norfolk.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress

Just finished my 7th game of the 2015 season. After sweeping the Athletics in the first series, we faced the Texas Rangers in the second series. This one was a 4 game tilt. One thing that has become painfully obvious to me is that we finish games a heck of a lot better than we start them.

Fourth Game: Mike Foltynwicz got the start against Texas. He REALLY struggled to find the strike zone, walking 6 batters total before leaving the game in the 6th inning. Texas came out hot and scored 5 runs on him. But like I said earlier, we finish games a lot better than we start them. In the 4th inning it turned into a slug-fest. Matt Dominguez hit a 3 run home run, and Aramis followed that with a solo home run. The score stayed 4-5 (Texas up) until the 7th inning, when Aramis Ramirez hit a 2 run home run. Springer and Fowler each knocked in a run during that inning as well to take a 8-5 lead. We won the game 8-6.

Fifth Game: Paul Clemens got his first start of the season, and it couldn't have possibly been a worse one. Texas jumped all over him, scoring 8 runs in the first 2 innings. I took him out after the 2nd inning and put in rookie pitcher Mike Wright... he finished the rest of the game without allowing a single run. Unfortunately, our offense never got started. The only run we scored came on a Matt Dominguez double in the 9th inning. We lost 8-1.

Sixth Game: Jarred Cosart got his second start of the season, and it was yet another absolute GEM. He went 7 innings, giving up only 3 hits and 1 run with 7 K's. Unfortunately, his outstanding game was wasted for 8 innings as our offensive struggles continued. Going into the 9th, the Rangers held a 1-0 lead.... that's when the bats woke up. Once Yu Darvish left the game, we DESTROYED their bullpen. Matt Dominguez knocked in 2 runs, and Aramis Ramirez knocked in 3 more on his 3rd home run of the season. Chad Qualls shut the door and we won 5-1.

Seventh Game: Brett Oberholtzer got his second start of the season, but he would suffer the same fate as Cosart the game before. In 6 innings, Oberholtzer gave up just one run on 4 hits. Our offense didn't get going until the 8th inning, though. Aramis Ramirez hit his 4th home run of the season on a solo shot in the 8th to tie it at 1-1, but Texas would get a walk-off base hit to win the game.

So after 7 games in the 2015 season, my Astros are 5-2, which is good enough to grab an early lead in the AL West.

Jarred Cosart has been absolutely brilliant early on. At the plate, Matt Dominguez and Aramis Ramirez are off to the best starts I've ever seen. Dominguez is hitting .400 with 2 HR's and 10 RBI's, while Aramis Ramirez is hitting .407 with 4 HR's and 7 RBI's. George Springer is hitting .273 with 2 HR's and 7 RBI's.

Jose Altuve and Jason Castro are off to the worst starts ever. Jason Castro is hitting .160 with 0 HR's and 0 RBI's, while Jose Altuve is hitting .179 with 0 HR's and 0 RBI's. Hopefully those guys pick it up.

Do you guys play every single game?

I'm thinking about creating a SP and just playing games he pitches... is that lame?

Do what you want it's your franchise

I am now 39-26 Baez is out for a couple more weeks he's hitting over .300 3 HR 6 RBI. Bryant is doing well hitting over .400 with
3 RBI soler is hitting .286 I called up alcantara to replace Baez he's hitting over .300 in 6 games. My bullpen is starting to struggle the pirates traded for Iglesias and also carlos Ruiz. I hold a 4.0 game lead in the central I'm probably going to trade schierholtZ for an a young but major league ready relief pitcher and probably a prospect schierholtZ is injured but is hitting .329 6 HR 26 RBI

Not at all. That's perfectly reasonable.

Quite a few people acquire a pitching ace and only play the games in which he starts. Not unreasonable at all.

7-25 now with the Cubs. Baez the only call up I've made but he has already been an improvement. Rizzo is a dude but both Castro and Barney are hitting under .200. It isn't all me either as I just play the first game of each series and play lock Rizzo for the rest.

Try benching Barney and Castro for a series. Then if it's possible, just bring them back in against favorable match ups. Don't bring them back vs your opponents ace, let them start tracking the ball.

                          Hope this helps.

Not lame at all although pitching with one player might get a little bland (I'm not much of a RTTS guy). I play the first time through the rotation and then I play one game per series and I can't repeat with a pitcher until I have used everyone else in the rotation. This way you get to play in every ballpark on your schedule and with every starter in your rotation. It gets you through the season reasonably fast but gives you enough influence to change your divisional standings to make it interesting. I also don't go in order of the rotation I just make sure I use all five before repeating. I usually pick the game I will play of each series based on who I want to pitch with, who I want to bat against, and the importance of the game overall.
