Agree they went overboard with the beards.

Add Jake Peavy to the list of players whose face doesn't even remotely resemble himself.

Yes, those players may have experimented with facial hair at one point in time during long careers (as have probably 99% of MLB players), but everyone's point is that they usually don't, or the style of facial hair they have in the game isn't reminiscent of what they actually have. So people would prefer that they look like what they usually look like, instead of the permanently bearded look they have in the game.

I would also presume that a diehard fan who follows his favorite team day in and day out would know what his favorite players usually look like instead of some guy who googled "(player name) beard" to prove a nonexistent point.

LOL at this thread. Just wait till they grow or shave their beards IRL, problem solved. It will be right sometimes and wrong the other. Really nothing to get hyped up about.

I think the RedSox beards look great. David Ross even has grey hears in his beard... The best beard in the game is "Big" John Lackey's. However his body is bad, because he still looks overweight...

But in the game he has a full beard, nothing like the first picture.

Either way, Ramone said that they hand draw the beards on to each player.
So what people are saying about face scans aren't true, unless what Ramone said about hand drawn beards aren't true.

So that begs the question, why would they choose to draw beards on these players that basically never have beards. Strange decision, hopefully next year they tone it down A LOT.

Not a HUGE deal....i get they are showing off their whole beard deal with the hardware/graphics boost for the new consoles. Just struck me as weird because last year and previous years they've had his player model nailed.
