Re: A Patch?
You can certainly calibrate your TV to make things appear better but that doesn't mean there isn't a problem with lighting.
Fact is the "dark" stadiums have a game problem and not a TV problem.
The devs have acknowledged it.
For example I think the colour of the grass is extremely dull and washed out. I can calibrate my TV to make the game look much more colourful and I have real nice settings for The show.
Soon as I play any other game on the Ps4 using those same settings it looks like there has been a nuclear colour explosion.Last edited by merchant1874; 05-21-2014, 10:58 AM.Comment

Re: A Patch?
Why would I calibrate my TV when it works fine with every other game, show, movie that I play or watch?
Can you post pictures of Rogers Centre or Petco (night games) from either that show you have good lighting? I've yet to see any of my own games or others images or streamed games from either (PNC as well) where CF and other parts didn't portray poorly lit alleys.Comment

Calibration takes into account all of the settings of your tv, including the hidden ones that can't be found on the normal menus.
The point of calibration is to make your tv look "proper" and sharp across all media types and formats.
My tv is properly calibrated and looks great whether I'm playing The Show, Infamous 2, watching a movie, tv, or anything else. The colour is balanced, as are the white and black levels, and the same across everything.
Now, I'm not saying that there aren't lighting issues in The Show. What I'm saying is there aren't as many as people think there are, because a lot of them can be fixed by proper calibration.Comment

What you think looks fine looks like garbage. Trust me.Comment

Re: A Patch?
Then you haven't calibrated it right. Changing the brightness, contrast, and backlight is not calibrating. Neither is setting it to cool, warm, or neutral, or changing the RGB balance.

This^^ is correct! I'm not saying there aren't lighting issues in the game...however the lighting issues that some of you all are describing sounds strictly like your tv's problem.I'm a diehard St. Louis Cardinals Fan!! Birds on the bat til I die!Comment

Exactly! Anyone who owns a flat screen television that isn't a cheap pos should have it calibrated.Comment

Re: A Patch?
My tv is perfectly calibrated.
There are clear lighting issues in some stadiums.

Re: A Patch?
It's also missing numerous sounds including the organ. Actually you hear it once at the end of the 6th and that's it so might as well be missing.
Also never hear take me out to the ball game.
Wrigley Field lacks atmosphere at the moment.Comment

Re: A Patch?
You can either pay somebody to come do it for you (in Canada, places like Future Shop/Best Buy do it for $99).
Or you can look it up online or from your tv's manufacturer. Most reputable manufactures will post the process for their particular products on their website.
If it's a newer tv with a usb port it's usually as simple as downloading the calibration software from the manufacturer.
Also, for smart tv's, you should check to see if there is a firmware update (found in the support, help, or troubleshooting menu on most tv's).Comment
