Re: A Patch?
Yea and monitors work at a different scale than TV's. Most TV's are in the 16-235 range while I believe almost all monitors are in the 0-250 range so your contrast and brightness will be different. I'm not entirely certain AVS HD is the best option for a monitor calibration. I'd do some reading on it first.Comment

A Patch?
Audio wise you normally want Linear PCM if running HDMI or DTS/DOLBY if running optical. For instance I'm running optical and my surround sound receiver uses DTS surround tech so that is how my PS4 is set to match.
Here is a picture of my calibrated TV playing madden. Taken directly off my TV with my iPhone so not the greatest but shows difference well calibrated tv makes

Re: A Patch?
Why is so difficult for a company to tell us what that patch was last night. I really don't understand it. You don't go to the app store and download an update without notes on what the hell it does. But, for some reason we have to be left in the dark. I really don't understand why it's so difficult for someone to come and say HEY GUYS THIS IS WHAT THE PATCH DOES, rather than have us guess and assume what it fixed.
Ok, apologists, you can now begin your bashing on what an unreasonable idiot I amComment

If you don't notice a difference than it didn't fix anything you use, not that big of a deal.Comment

Re: A Patch?
Do you guys think this patch maybe, just maybe, did next to nothing? It might have been things under the hood. Due to the size of the patch, and the fact there's been no patch notes, it's pretty safe to assume this wasn't a big patch, nor was it THE patch (the one that will fix lighting, graphical issues, etc). Everyone just take a chill pill.Comment
