I thought Patch Notes would be mandatory this gen.

I ended up calling 2k and they had me clear out the cache and reinstall the patch and everything worked fine after that. But in some cases patches can do weird unexpected stuff.
yeah, sure, but nothing like that has been said yet, just that someone threw a few shutouts and some guy's pitcher lost his command. not generally things that would ever be affected by a patch.

Also thank god we don't have to deal with 2K baseball games anymore and their litany of problems.

Speaking of the lighting issues, I was playing in a minor league park with my RTTS player. I hit a ball to the fence in center field and when the center fielder went back to catch it I completely lost him in the darkness. He could have dropped the ball and I never would have known.I was actually in Busch Stadium last friday for a night game and the field and the lower/higher seats were all pretty bright and even lit. There did seem to be some darker areas well beneath the overhang of the upper deck but that was the only darkness I noticed.

Those are things that would be affected by a patch. Just not this patch with no one complaining about them. You can change almost anything with a patch. Unless you work for EA.

Maybe it's a placebo effect, maybe just wishful thinking....

But the framerate issues seem to be better after the patch. Not gone or resolved, just better.

I notice it the most in cut-scenes during an AB. Still a bit jittery, but seems better.

Normally from what I have noticed stamina did not affect your pitchers accuracy as much as confidence did. They could zero out their stamina and if the confidence was still high they could continue to pick the corners.

I just played my 3rd game in a row since the patch and every time I had to pull my pitcher around the 80 to 90 pitch mark because while their confidence was still high, they could not hit the strike zone and started walking batters even when I left the cursor dead middle of the zone.

Could be just a placebo but its only change I think I'm noticing.
Have you played an online rated game yet since the patch? As if what you're saying is true it would seemingly correct the scenarios of guys that pick Tigers, Dodgers, Yankees and only throw Verlander, Kershaw, Sabathia, or any team & ace combo, regardless of Conf/Eng and still throw as if they were at a full complement of each.

I hunk you might want to take a closer read at my entire post, seems like you failed to grasp what I was saying. My post had nothing to do with shutouts, but specifically the greater than average rate that starters throw a complete game shutout or complete game in general. For example, it is mid May in my franchise and there are 3 guys who have 3 shutouts and 6 guys with 2 shutouts. That is far in excess of the regular rate. Sure there are plenty of games where a team fails to score, but very few of those are with the opposing starter going the entire game.

I also stated multiple times that it could just be completely coincidental. Thanks for your time and have a nice afternoon.

Petco is definately the worst ive seen, look at the far outfield its almost total darkness, im really not sure how things like this make it through testing and get into release?
damn this looks bad! just saw the photo before reading your comment and thought the exact same thing, how does this go unnoticed by the devs prior to release??

they could be, yes. Doesn't mean they're tuning gameplay.

Can't wait to read the patch notes. I saw an update file the second I turned on my PS4 and got sooo excited. Lol I'm sure it's nothing big, but every little bit helps.

Well starting pitchers are definetly getting tired by the 7th inning. Relievers are getting tired as we'll. I wasn't experiencing the pitcher getting tired before the ninth or before about a 100 pitches and the relievers are getting tired as well, I don't know if this is a good or bad thing. Were sliders working it nah?

                              How about analog throwing sensitivity.

Ramone said they might tone it down a bit, has anyone noticed any difference there? I can't wait to switch back.

I use Pure analog for hitting and pitching with TNKs slider set both on veteran. Getting good games. I use it for fielding without the meter and works great.
