I don't know I still get a kick on the tough play deep in the hole, or driving in the winning one on a fastball that I was totally fooled by..or stealing 3rd base. Just playing the game of baseball. Maybe I'm too easy to please but I'm having a blast, best RTTS ever.

I agree with a lot of you guys, very good points in relation to 2K and FIFA

For me being a big franchise mode guy, I love this game but it's really a grind getting through a whole season. One main reason for this is lack of personality and fun of the game of baseball we all adore

I always enjoy seeing my favorite players play on TV and every guy has a distinct personality that brings the game of baseball to life. But in the game everybody is like a robot.

Gameplay and graphics wise I don't have many complaints but I would like to see the improvements around just playing game after game in franchise mode.

How do you change that. .nba2k is a bad example. In mycareer every player had the same tweets, they all have the same press conferences, the same bad agent, the same boring GM "do you know Bob from maintenance" lol and even the same voice.

I guess people will always look for something to complain about. Just be thankful they didn't go the 2k route and implement VC for everything and FORCE you to save your rosters online without even an option to save your rosters offline. They took away all your customization too. You can't even give a player a headband anymore in that game. Great next gen upgrade they got there. At least you can play your OFFLINE franchise in this game without being forced to be online. In 2k if you tried to do that, your game literally won't load. What a joke 2k has become. Amen to the SHOW. Best sports game period.

Innovation in offline franchise modes have seemed to be lacking the past 5-10 years in all sports games not just The Show. I'm still waiting for one of these games to pick up the immersion level and do something new for us.

@MaddensJowels I think you said it perfectly. The game modes like RTtS and Franchise lack that immersive quality outside of the onfield gameplay. In RTTS, I really have no clue what's going on in the league or why certain things happen. Interaction has three options at most. Retire, ask for X, or to be traded. That's the range of exchanges with the front office and manager and there should be some type of outside media letting you keep up with how things are going.

Smh.... Original poster brings up some fairly reasonable points that obviously others tend to agree with in one form or another and you respond saying... Ppl will always find something to complain about. It's how opinion just as your post is yours. Then you bring up as a complaint in another game that you can put a head band on a player... Lol. Ahhh it's what makes the world go round I guess. I do agree tho 2k made a mess of their first new Gen game, sadly.

I guess my point is, theres only so many ways you can play the game of baseball. They have pretty much nailed it IMO. Yes, the commentary can get old year after year. That is the one thing that I wish they would make a change to. But if the commentary is my biggest complaint of a game, it must be one hell of a game.

For me it was stale as week old bread but then Quick Counts saved the day and pumped alot of life into the series for me .

I mean most games introduced new gameplay or gimmic things each year to show its not the same as last year but MLB doesnt have to do that as its pretty much programmed perfectly, but then the only downside is it plays alot like prior years and good or bad it can become boring and predictable after a few games for many gamers .

This is the first year since MLB 08 I havent sold it by June as I really play the heck out of it the first few months and with QC its a whole new dynamic and in truth it really doesnt save me much time as I play it for how its programmed and I just dont see myself getting bored like I do with the full version .

I certainly agree on the game play portion, but there's a whole lot more that can be done to draw the player into their franchise. Much more so than now anyway, for starters stats are a must or I predict they will lose a lot of old (not in age) customers, could be wrong of course it's just my opinion. The whole Stat situation in this game needs to be redone from the ground up I think.

All he is saying is...it can be so much worse.

The game has not lost its soul in it's jump to Next Gen like 2K has. All the options are still there. For Offline players your still getting the high quality The Show has been known for.

It is well documented that immersion can use a nice facelift and going forward on The PS4 i am pretty sure things will be ramped and amped up in a few cycles.

Madden does a lot wrong, but I love how they immerse you in the franchise, with college players even getting headlines, helping you get to know who's going to be in the league soon. The Show could easily do more in-depth write-ups for prospects than Madden, as Madden had audio blurbs for each player during the draft that The Show wouldn't need to spend time or disc space on.

I would love to feel more connected to the league, and the newspapers and other suggestions would be great. NBA 2K14 was a launch title, a broken mess, but they had decent enough ideas.

Also, one last thing, and this really bugs me. Everyone says "tighten up gameplay, make it perfect, then we'll see". Not everyone attached to a game works on gameplay and graphic design. They can work on multiple tasks, shoring up gameplay while still bringing to life RTTS and Franchise.

Did you read my post? I play other modes and I explicitly mentuioned franchise.

Franchise suffers from it more then any mode, heck even maddens twitter feed does a better job of connecting you with the wider league,.
