Re: Same old simulation problems in franchise
Kimbrel's career ERA is 1.45 in 245 innings in real life. Doubtful he would have an ERA about 3. Mariano Rivera (widely considered the best closer ever) only had one season in which his ERA was about 3. Just throwing that out there.
That being said, you have such a small sample size. You can't go into playing "The Show" thinking that every statistic will mirror the real life counterpart because that just isn't realistic...or logical. Too many variables are in place in a video game, especially simulating games.est 1978

Re: Same old simulation problems in franchise
I just looked in my franchise and I simmed the first season. Kimbrel had an ERA under 2 and around 40 saves. I didn't look around the league though, just Kimbrel.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: Same old simulation problems in franchise
I just don't understand why you would want a game where the outcomes are basically predetermined. I would rather have guys go through ups and downs as they do in real life.Prototype Supreme

Re: Same old simulation problems in franchise
its the usage thats BS, if the game is coded to where closers ONLY come in in a save situation when games are simmed thats a broken part of the game. Any fan knows thats not now teams run.Comment

Re: Same old simulation problems in franchise
The amount of factors that can go into a player not getting the amount of playing time he should means one season after 2 month is way to short to judge. I have had no issues with it. Other here have said they have no issues. Yet you continue to call it an issue.Comment

Re: Same old simulation problems in franchise
I just saw the Issues you were describing in regards to Kimbrel....my son and I are huge Braves fans...so in our fantasy drafted franchise, we keep an eye on Braves that are not on our rosters....we have noticed that the Kimbrel in our franchise gets HAMMERED....alot!..I would say his ERA has never been lower than 5.00.very oddComment

Re: Same old simulation problems in franchise
I am 125 games into my season. I do not play as the Braves.
Kimbrel has pitched in 40 games. It looks they are all save situations.
He is 1-4, 3.41 ERA, 32 SV, 7 BSV, 9.43 K/9
This would be a down year for Kimbrel but they don't look crazy.Comment

Re: Same old simulation problems in franchise
I just completed the 2016 draft in my braves franchise (All-Star using TNK sliders). I simulate most of the games and I am still seeing the inflated ERA's for pitchers when simming. The most glaring example I have found is kimbrel. He has pitched 11 and 1/3 innings on the season (why has he only pitched 11 n 1/3 into the first week of june). His line is a 7.15 ERA with 9 ER and 9 Ks, but he still has 10 saves.
Anyways, when will the simmed stats ever more reflect real life? Simmed scores have always been out of hand.T-BONE.

Re: Same old simulation problems in franchise
Have you looked around the league at other closers? What are their stats like? What were his stats like in previous seasons?I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
