I swear this game predetermines things just to mess with you. I finally hit a bit. Score 4 runs. Blow that lead but clutch up in the 9th to score a guy. Give up 2 solo jacks to lose it. Thus game is going to be the f'ing death of me.
Is there no way to scout what a batters avg vs each pitch type? Ie he loves fastballs struggles with offspeed etc. I cant believe I havent smashed a controller yet

If I am above .500, I'm not having fun.

My favorite franchise ever was 99 the game with sosa on the cover, I was 10-70 with a team avg around .120....... every game I would concentrate so hard trying to win lol

Hmm. Ya that was the only feature I liked about 2k baseball. In addition to hot/cold zones you could see what pitches they struggle with. Most guys obviously could handle fbs and all star players most everything. But you would find guys hitting like 120 vs a changeup etc. Good stuff to know

Honestly this game is just hard. No one should feel bad. I won a Challenge of the Week last year for a Mccutchen signed baseball and I suck at this years game.

The stride timing is odd it's like I have to have my foot down before he throws the pitch. Inside pitches that are barely inside my player jumps to hit the ball even when it says I swung early (I loved inside pitches when I played.). Outfielders are unbelievable at getting great jumps and always take a straight line to the ball. And I ground out all the time. I'm on pace to probably be the first player in history to lead the league in GIDPs and stolen bases.

And what ticks me off the most is when I'm up in the count and sitting dead red and get fooled by a curveball or offspeed pitch and hit a tapper to the mound or in front of the plate. It's not that I'm upset I got fooled it's that my zone shows that I should have missed it and it says early timing but yet my guy made contact. In real life you swing through the pitch. You wouldn't adjust your swing to make contact. I've never been upset until this year. I play with no feedback in guess pitch and I'm considering turning it to tell me if I guessed right I'm that frustrated haha.

The moral of my post is this game is hard. Especially when you play at fields where it's hard to see the ball like PETCO Park or Chase Field during the day. My RTTS guy is on the Diamondbacks so I know.
