Until they fix the large logos on the helmets (they had it right until MLB 13 and botched it) and fix the back of the jerseys (bring the numbers up more and some of the fonts for the numbers are inaccurate). Get an artist that looks at the details. Eyes of players still look robotic. Can you tell I am a stickler for detail? Look at games like Madden, NBA 2K, The Last Of Us and Tomb Raider you get the idea. Until they fix that I am not buying this game.

Lol hitman23, I'm sure if I wasn't visually impaired, I'd be just like you! Maybe that's why I'm so harsh a critic when it comes to sound and wanting a new pbp guy.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

Hearing Matty V do these playoff games, I just wish he can "get into it" in the show like he does on tv. If he does his lines like that, it would make all the difference. Maybe they can get him into the virtual booth for 15 and record with a little more excitement.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

I agree, raise the bar in every aspect of the game. It needs to be on another level than last gen versions, little upgrades for 14 was ok seeing as it was the first on a new system, but from now on, I think its not unrealistic to expect bigger leaps.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! That would be an interesting view. I might would try manual fielding with that view."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
Ball trajectories and ball physics. There are not nearly enough trajectories for well hit balls. Almost every trajectory in this game that involves the ball going in the air has the ball coming off the bat at 60 degrees or greater with the ground. Pretty much everything is a pop fly, and home runs are just really hard hit pop ups. There are far too few trajectories that involve actual well hit line drives and none as far as I've ever seen for home runs. I'm thinking something like Hanley Ramirez in the Home Run Derby when he was with Miami where almost every home run was low and fast.
Everything in this game is high and slow. Too often in this game things seem to hang up way too long. So more lower angled trajectories please. On top of that, more animations for interacting with the wall, and a greater risk of injury (possibly lower stamina) for making plays going into the outfield wall. It's really annoying that the ball is almost never played off the wall in this game.
More risk reward for playing in the outfield. Just getting to the circle shouldn't be enough to nearly guarantee a catch. Way too many automated shoe string catches that should in all reality go past the outfielders. I don't think I've ever needed to use the dive button in the outfield because the automated animation from just being in the circle will get the ball anyway. Fielding a ground ball needs to be more difficult, by which I mean there should be more risk of a mistake when charging the ball rather than playing conservatively and letting the ball come to you.
Other than that, not much. Commentary is always stale after a season. Graphics and frame rate are fine for me.Thanks to LBzrules: So these threads won't be forever lost.

#1 reason I play with a high power slider. I get line drives (and grounders/bouncers) that actually have some oomph too them (and thus are harder to defend unless they are at 'em balls) and react to the environment. Balls that hit off bases actually react like they hit to the base and not rolled out there. Balls off the wall can deflect hard and maybe give OF trouble depending on the bounce.
Helps the CPU get offense as well without having to jack around the other sliders to make them super disciplined, etc.
I wish it was the default. Hitters can hit the ball awfully hard when they square up on one, which often produces those low fly balls and such you mention.
Even then, the higher flies are too weak and OF cover too much ground too consistently.
And go back to the solid hits slider governing trajectory instead of HR. In fact, don't have a "HR slider" at all. Power = velocity, Solid Hits = Trajectory range, and you have the physics moddable at least."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
The only thing that leans me towards yes is if MLB 15: The Show has Minor Leaguer's Road to the Show where you can use an existing Minor League Baseball player like those in minors on any MLB team's 40-man roster and other Minor Leaguers. I don't like to have to create players.Comment

Yeah, but the whole point of rtts is to create yourself, I doubt they'd do that, defeats the purpose of the mode.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment
