Just thought I'd let you know that RTTS and MiLBRTTS are two different modes, where RTTS is where you create yourself and in MiLBRTTS is where you use an existing MiLB player like Irving Falu, Hiram Burgos, Hunter Morris, Elian Herrera, and all the other MiLB players that are in MLB 15: The Show. If they don't include MiLBRTTS, then I won't buy it.

I would love to see an owner's mode added to Franchise. I want total control over my team in every way possible.Comment

Oh, I get what you want now. Two different rtts modes. Interesting idea, but that would really be a buying breaker for you? Lol, guess I love the game too much! The only way I wouldn't buy is if they took out auto fielding.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

Yep that's a great view and yes one I'd die to have in the game to be used whenever I want.Joshua:

I just want fielding to be driven by animations as little as possible. Also I don't know if it's been mentioned but how about two separate layers of stats for pitchers for when they face both right and left hand hitters.
Also go by real life numbers on what percentage of the time they throw certain pitches to both lefties or righties. Some lhp may throw more sliders to left hand hitters, and more change ups to righties etc.Last edited by jcmreds; 10-12-2014, 11:15 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
I ASSUME "leave it alone" wasn't an option... everything is tied together in franchise mode, and they had already rebuilt other parts of it during that same year. The owner stuff was probably broken as is after changing everything else, so their options were PROBABLY either a) invest time into a broken system just to keep it the same b) remove it.
tl;dr it should be coming back eventuallyComment

Nerf the circle button. Good pitching is no match for the mighty circle button.

Still waiting for rain delays, rainouts, double headers just like in real life. If they can't do it then I hope another company steps up to the plate as I have begun to get bored with The Show's series now.
Commentary needs changed as it is poorly done. Play by play I am happy with. The rest of the crew needs changed.
Time to bring back the national anthems since that is still in baseball.
Add in highlights of other important games going on in the league.Last edited by Rules; 10-12-2014, 07:51 PM.Comment

I disagree on the pbp, that's the one thing that really needs to change! We've had Matty V for 9 years, a new voice would make all the difference in the world. Yes it'll take some work to get new lines, and names recorded, but any good thing takes work.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

I submitted a bug report a couple weeks ago on the significant deficiency of line drives in the game.

I have some good news for you all. I have it on good authority that commentary will be getting heavy attention from this point forward. As most of you know, I am visually impaired, so I reached out to a source, to give ideas I had for play-by-play. I think pbp should be more like a radio stile broadcast, because in real life, it's the radio broadcasts that have the best presentation, since they have to paint the picture. Source says, "I think commentary in our game will definitely be getting a lot of attention in the next couple years because we know there is absolutely room for improvement there, so hopefully you notice a change for the better and really enjoy it." Sorry to make it so mysterious, have to respect privacy. lol!1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

But the regular commentary? It should not sound anything like radio. There is a reason radio commentators give those detailed descriptions: they have to. A listener can't see anything, so their narration is the only insight one has into the game. Television (and video gaming) are not radio. I can already see and play the things happening on the screen, there is no need to also hear them.
The Show's commentators talk way too much. The team rambles on and explains things that do not require any explanation. Every line sounds like the commentators are seeing baseball played for the very first time.
For example, there's literally a two-line analysis on a dropped third strike in the game. I can't even remember the last time real life TV broadcasters even acknowledged a dropped third strike. It doesn't happen. TV broadcasters let the game speak for itself. Their job is not to narrate, but to analyze and discuss.
I'd like to see this replicated in The Show: a more hands-off approach in regards to commentary. Less narration and examination of every tiny micro-event within the game, more broad-view analysis and discussion.
No more dissecting a single curveball for an entire minute, complimented by a slow-motion replay of this incredible pitch. Instead, just mention that the curveball gave me my 5th strikeout, and leave it at that. Or tell me something I don't know. How many swings-and-misses have I gotten with the curveball so far (an actual number, not just some blanket generalization that fits anywhere).
If you look at the games with critically acclaimed commentary, you see they already do this. 75% of the time, NBA 2k commentators aren't even talking about what's going on. They are analyzing a player's season, the team's season, some random anecdotes about the player, team, manager, etc...
Let the game speak for itself.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
All good points, accept when I say radio stile, I don't mean more talking, I mean a more exciting and descriptive pbp of the actual action. For example, here's what I wrote for my ideas: Getting Matty V (or if you change the play-by-play man,) to do a radio stile play-by-play. Although it seems like a little change, this would enhance the presentation by a huge leap. Examples would be always saying the count before the pitch: (it'll be a 2-2, here's the 1-1 pitch.) Also, when a fielder fields a grounder: (A-rod fields and throws to first.) Or while the ball is in the air: (Gardner moves over, makes the catch.") I got the idea from using mlb.tv, which lets you watch any teams tv broadcast sinced with the radio feed, so you get the best of both worlds, because a radio broadcast will always for the most part, be much more exciting. Its hard to explain, you have to see a broadcast like that to really see what I mean.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment
