That would be incredibly handy if I ever get that "historic franchise" mode I keep bringing up. I'd love to have a larger draft and minor league levels as well. Advanced A, short-season A, Rookie A, AZL, DSL, VSL, GCL, are we ever gonna get any of that?

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
I remember there being a few games that had stadiums that were projected to open within the next few years. I think plans have been unveiled for the stadium in Oakland, and maybe one for Tampa Bay as well?

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
Im almost certainly that weird player that loves and cherishes minor league games in franchise mode. Literally will player lock as key rookies in my Twins franchise like Kohl Stewart or Lewis Thorpe, Buxton. But there should be a way to bring in your own draft class from the vault. I don't get why NBA 2K prompts you whether or not you want to download/create your own draft class or use a CPU generated fake listing. For me it just sucks some enjoyment out of scouting and planning ahead for fake players.
Plus, to reiterate what many have said, I still hope that they at least add the Florida League games as playable in franchise mode. It feels weird not having a class lower than double AA for my young players (like i promoted Lewis Thorpe to play for the Rock Cats even though he's 18 and he should be raking up stats in A ball to advance his skill set/boost potential value).
I even simmed a franchise (Mets) to see what would happen with A players over the course of like 2-3 years and none of them saw any real improvement (one of them actually dropped if I remember) which is not at all concurrent to real life improvements that are made at that level for young players.Comment

Nothing needs to change for me. It'll always be a day 1 pick up for me.
One thing I would like to see changed is when a player switches leagues his stats need to reset. As of now they currently don't when a player is traded from an NL team to and AL team and vice versa.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
I wasn't talking abt the action happening on the pitch and how the manager can interfere with it.I'm curious....what do you think OOTP has in manage mode that The Show needs?
It can't be graphics.
The only thing could be having the ability to send/hold runners.....but a manager doesn't do that...his base coaches do...so that wouldn't even be a true realistic addition.

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
I'll buy regardless because I need my baseball fix but I would like to see some improvements to keep me from being bored in franchise mode.
- Stats: This has been hit on many times before. I would like more stats and improvements on how they are presented to me.
- History: Ratings history of players, commentating reflecting history, records, player history (league rankings, personal bests)
- Recap shows/Live cut-ins: Something presented to me that tells me what's going on in my franchise
- Intl FA
- Signing of extensions during season
- Better trade logic
- Better top prospects coverage and MLB draft coverageSeattle Pilots GM (2011 - ) Record: 152 - 195

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
The one issue that has bothered me for years is the weather. I'm in August for a night game at Citi Field and game time temp is 62 degrees. The temps are way off then you have to deal with the players auto getting long sleeves so you can't even see the edits with wrist bands and other edits half the time.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
This game is an absolute guaranteed purchase for me every year no matter what
Alright. First off, let me say I don't get how some people are bashing the graphics in MLB 14 on PS4? It's the first year on a new system, gotta give the devs some time to get the true graphics incorporated. Look at what we saw from early PS3-MLB 13 on PS3. HUGE difference IMHO. We're at the tip of the iceberg, lots more to come in the graphical dept if you ask me.
Now back to MLB 15 - What I think we need to see:
1.) Franchise:
I desperately need something new in Franchise to keep me interested and feel like I really am in charge of the team. I feel SO disconnected during the season. Fact of the matter, I get bored too fast.
We should be submerged in Franchise, but we aren't. Bring back the newspaper article, include a pre and post game show, highlight reels from round the league...I just want to feel more connected. I get bored easily after about 4 or 5 consecutive games. Help me get rid of that feeling.
2.) RTTS:
Really thefirst year I divulged in this mode. Love it. But like others said, it needs to be more than just game, game, game, training session, game, game, edit player stats, game, training session, edit player stats, game. Again, not a lot to it, and again, I get bored.
3.) Presentation:
I think it's time to start from scratch. New console, new generation of The Show. Get rid of the same game theme music that we've had since PS2 days. Game truly needs true to life broadcast theme. Either FOX Sports or MLB Network or even TBS. With all new layouts, sharper more professional overlays and overall crisper everything. Also, maybe can we get REAL stadium flyovers? Please? We know whats capable with the intro to this years game. Emerge that into each game.
And please bring back REAL player cards where you have an actual real life player picture with the option of flipping the card to the back by pressing Triangle.
(more to think about but that's the gist of it for me)Last edited by Sco291; 08-31-2014, 10:02 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
I buy sports games on a every-other-year cadence in general. Makes it easier to see the changes. But here's what would get me to break that and buy MLB 15:
1) Franchise: Relocation, or at least a stadium designer. Maybe don't need to bring back the silly hot dog pricing stuff, but some control over the Game Day Ops of your franchise would make it feel like an Owner Mode, not GM Mode.
Also, the scouting system needs some work - my scouts shouldn't get the rest of the season off after draft day...maybe have them scout prospects or stars (depending on your franchise's posture) on other teams in the run-up to the trade deadline? Ideally, they'd be scouting next year's draft class in Cape Cod and/or HS showcases, but I understand if those guys aren't generated until the next season starts.
2) RTTS: Some way to give your player personality. The easy cliche would be press conferences, but random off-field stuff with your teammates could be interesting. Also, make the salary mean something.
3) General: Please switch to actual advanced stats that people use. RC, etc, aren't nearly as descriptive or easy to understand as OPS+, FIP, WAR, DRS, etc. Cut a deal with Fangraphs or BPro if you have to, but please give us something useful.Last edited by a5ehren; 09-01-2014, 08:48 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
love the game...buy the new version every year...bought a ps4 just for the game...would do it again.
i'm not a big stat, frachise, RTTS player...i just have time for 1-3 full games per week of single season mode.
with that said, i'd appreciate:
- improved loading times
- a smooth locked in framerate at 60fps
- improved collision detection; we're at a point where we should never see players going into players, gloves going into players when tagging, fans going through the ground when reaching for foul balls, fans'limbs going through walls in BTP view, etc.
- have the runners sliding into bases do a pop up slide once in a while (when appropriate situationally)
- have the option to turn off the blue ring under the players...looks pretty bad especially in the catcher throw down to second base on a steal attempt sequence
- have separate sliders for cpu and hum; would love to be able to turn down the pitch speed for my legend zone+analog broadcast view style of play while increasing it for the cpu
- let the foul ball camera go a bit longer..basically have an extra slow game speed mode (all cutscenes plus longer foul ball camera sequences, etc.)
- graphics on the level of nba 2k (if not just the faces and skin)
- put back in the deterioration of the chalk lines
- have an option to have the pitcher turn his head at the base to check a runner without changing the view (maybe pressure sensitive...just a little pressure will do the head turn while still in broadcast view)
- have an option (maybe extra hard drive space allocation) to be able to pick up a saved game where it left off and everything like you never left (i.e. full replay of hightlights at the end)
- have more accurate batting stances...most are so close but so far away
- bring a little more life to the background (i.e. swaying bushes, trees when windy)
- bring back the region only option (the big shadow) in fielding options
- give the ability to choose when vibration occurs (i.e. off when pitching, on when batting)
- a more true to life broadcast view experience when a homerun is hit
- remove the sweat from the hats
- make the heads of the kids in the stands a bit more proportional
- fix the glitchy/flickering graphics of: elbow guards of hitters at times; belt on uniform pants of batters at times; hair on females in the stands at times
- fixed lazy outfield animations
- toned down random pickoff throw to 1st going into the stands
- better pitcher animation when releasing the ball while pitching; give it a bit more snap and life to the release point
- better commentary acoustics (if only changed to make it sound like they're in the same room)
- deeper greens and darker browns when it comes to the field colors
- more natural hand/arm appearances on the players (cutscenes)...at times it looks like players have one lame arm
- give the jerseys a little movement to bring them to life...not over the top like 2k had, but subtle
- make the fielder reaction time/speed sliders a bit more effective...at 0 big papi should be able to have a chance at a inside the park home run...not really but you know what i'm getting at
...just a few random things that come to mind not actually being in front of the tv playing it.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
Sounds of the Show is a must.
It would be nice if:
* stadium specific home run animations.
* a more dynamic lead off/pick off system.
* player models to be proportional during post home run animations.
* the relief pitcher to stop dropping his glove.
* would love to see all replays in normal speed.Comment
