In previous posts I'd said it would be really cool to see more A leagues: High-A, Low-A, Short-season A, Rookie A, and even Advanced Rookie A, the AZL, GCL, DSL, and VSL. I don't know if there's enough space for all of them, but do you think we could get at least 2 A levels?

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
I'd love to be able to "correct" the AI in terms of managing my RTTS team's roster. Too many 65/D pitchers getting hammered in Pittsburgh while 80/B guys are stuck in Indy. It would be nice if the team spent something close to its budget, as opposed to half. Etc. Ideally, the AI would handle everything by default, but I would have franchise-mode authority to intervene how and when I saw fit.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
First of all, this is hands down, the best sports video game franchise and my favorite one to play with. So any suggestions I'm about to make are just suggestions, not criticisms, because like I said, this game is the best out there and if push comes to shove, it really doesn't need anything else. Gameplay-wise, it plays great, and although it has its few kinks here and there, there are sliders for that. Having said that, here are a few suggestions:
Player Models
Face scan! I don't think SCEA face scanned the players, and although it did not, most of the players look spot on. But when you put in the real next-gen system into the game when most other franchises are doing face scans of players, this will put The Show way way over the top. Combine that with better player models that are distinctive of each player's body types and add facial expressions, there's no question I will be blown away completely.
Player Equipment
I was excited too see that they had the Nike Pro Combat shirts available in the game so why don't we add more to that. If SCEA can find a way to put in real products from Nike, Rawling's, or even bats from Louisville Slugger, I will be more than greatful. Boy, imagine if we had all these different types of cleats, gloves, or bats!
Commentary
SCEA markets this game as close to real life and its broadcast presentations has been a big sell for gamers. However, its commentary hasn't been on the same level. When you play a game, you get several cut scenes when you don't hear the announcers saying something. Just pure silence. If these guys can try to put in what 2k was able to do with their baseball game, then I swear I'd quit my job and play this game all day everyday.Comment

Add create-a-player to franchise mode.

I play my franchise with the yankees so i would like to see players i sign or trade for have no facial hair. May be picky but it annoys me a bit. Create your own swing would be great, too.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
It took me until the all star break to buy the game this year because it hasn't made any significant jumps in awhile and I had been a day one buyer since 2007. So, if some of these aren't addressed I will probably be skipping it and that will probably kill my gaming days, because it's the only game I play, and there is no way I will be carrying on with 14 after baseball is over which is a departure from my past behavior.
I want to be able to choose a windup from one pitcher and a stretch from another. For example, with Jake Arrieta I like the Chris Tillman windup (it's close enough) but the stretch is awful. I would love to be able to pick Tillman for the windup and Bud Norris for the stretch. I know we could do that in past baseball games but it may have been before I bought MLBTS in 07. Maybe an MVP baseball game? And for the love of god let us edit the damn color of the cleats because right now 3 seasons into my franchise and 90% of the players have white cleats, one batting glove and 1990s elastic bottom pants and ridiculous facial hair.
Also, stats and those stats being the driving factor behind free agent signings and trades. I am so sick of seeing .230 hitters with a .280 OBP getting big money because they happen to be rated a 90. That would probably mean better tracking of stats too, but I do a lot of that manually and I kind of enjoy doing it because it keeps me involved in the league trends and progress.
I would also like more prospect variability, meaning I would like to see some guys just flat out bust and never reach their ceiling. Maybe you give them a ceiling of an A but a floor of a C or a D? I am not sure, but knowing that every prospect is going to come somewhat close to his ceiling takes some of the fun out of the franchise mode. This to me would mean pitching prospects are extremely volatile due to injuries derailing their career while position players are less volatile but still not a sure thing.
Those are my major issues, I would love things like being able to add on to a stadium like the JumboTron that will be added this offseason at Wrigley, but it's not a must for me. Hopefully we see some progress because it really is the best game out there.Comment

FULLY PLAYABLE Advanced single-A. I promised I wouldn't by 14 if single-A wasn't there, and I've kept my promise. Single-A, or not buying.Check out my three critically acclaimed dynasties in the Dynasty HQ section:
Run For The Playoffs - A Louisville Bats AAA dynasty
Gimmie A Hell! Gimmie A Yeah! - This is Blue Mountain State Football.
Single-A Baseball on The Show? Un-Flocking-Believable! - Go Myrtle Beach Pelicans!Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
Gameplay... Hitting, fielding, baserunning. The Show has been kind of lagging the past couple years. They've been "working on it", but at some point they need to actually get somewhere. I won't be buying any more The Show games until the gameplay gets some serious attention and more closely resembles a finished product.
I finally played it again after months and I just lose any motivation to play. Hitting is just not rewarding for me. I've tried all versions. But it was my fault for buying Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2013 last year. The hitting in that is so fun.Comment

Honestly...there are just some this game doesn't work for.
No shame in accepting that and going with what does work for them.
Because in the end...this game cannot be everything or maybe in some cases even something to everyone.

Same here. I was hesitant to purchase this year because none of this mentioned, but since the team does seem to have a passion for the game I wanted to reward that. I've played maybe 20-30 games max.

I don't get it. If there's one thing this game has right, it's the actual gameplay. It's franchise mode that needs some work (and Sounds of the Show needs to come back).Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
I don't care for the changes to gameplay, specifically the changes to plate discipline. I get tired to watching MLB players with a poor idea of what the strike zone is swinging at pitches they couldn't hit with a 10 foot pole.
I plan on renting next year's version to see if it has improved. It's a shame because this has been my favorite game for many years.≡Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
For the first time ever I'm thinking about NOT buying this game next year. The reasons: Lack of attention to Manage Only Mode and failure to improve statistical tracking. No attention has been paid to these for several years. There are other problems but these are the ones that concern me the most. It seems like a new programming crew is in place at SCEA that are just resting on the laurels of the creators of earlier versions. Maybe not so, but that's how it seems. I understand they believe there is no money to be made with this game unless they cater to the thumb pushers.Comment
