Maybe it's time we had a little talk with the PS4. I mean if this is gonna work long time there's just certain things the PS4 has to do for us.

The more videos I watch, the more of the following simply sticks out that I may well skip MLB15.

"Follow through" animations need improvements, maybe even an overhaul.

        -Pitcher's arm follow through
        -Batter's swing follow through
        -Outfielder throwing motion follow through

All of the above seems to lack that in game speed, in game "real life" aggressiveness, lack of power, lack of force. They all seem to look really "slow" so to speak. (This characteristic seems to have always been in the series)

Consider the following: Motion capturing someone throwing a ball 50 feet and using the same animation in the outfield to represent someone throwing a ball 395 feet to home plate should not be the same. But that's the visual impression I get when watching MLB the Show videos.

        NBA2k Defense AI,Footplant, Gameplay
        MLB Show Pitching/throwing
        Madden/Live Animations Walking, Throwing

A few things come to mind:

1 - The catcher's chest protector. For years, I wondered why all catchers spotted what I call a ''beer belly'' lol. Or perhaps we should call it a ''turtle shell''. But looking at the different streams shown lately, I now realize it's been corrected in '15. Good fix.

2 - The wrong shade of blue on the Blue Jays uniforms. So far, I have little proof that it's been corrected. Why SCEA can't fix this is beyond me.

3- In several instances, a relief pitcher drops his glove on his way to the mound. How many times do you see this in real life? Why does SCEA keep putting that in? Perhaps it was meant to be funny. Once you see this over and over again, well it's no longer funny.
4- Pitchers throwing to 1st base to hold a runner on, only to see his throw sailing into the stands ! Obviously, this is a glitch. It has reached a point where I no longer make throws to 1s base. For me, it's a game breaker.

Other than that, I find the game great. The graphics are terrific, most players' faces are genuine and I am satisfied with game play in general. Of course, improvements are always welcomed. Hopefully, all the above points will be fixed in the new game.

Franchise and presentation. The days of this being a must buy every year are over for me. Now I need depth and immersion, while the show is the best in the business for numerous reasons I feel these two things are too much of the same thing year after year. Online has been the focus for too many titles these days and while I'm sure it's very profitable I consider it an absolute breeding ground for the worst in people to shine through and I don't even consider it a selling point for sports titles.

It's kind of funny how online play is the most popular as you say, but people on the Internet universally hate it because of bad actors. What's even funnier is that when I do go online, no one talks that much.

And the few times I have witnessed bad behavior online, it hasn't been by the usual suspects.
